Required Skills

IMAX Enhanced is a new licensing and certification home entertainment program. To qualify and carry the IMAX Enhanced logo, the highest-end TVs, projectors, sound bars, and AV receivers must meet stringent performance standards established by IMAX, DTS and Hollywood's leading colorists in order to create a consistent and higher bar for image and sound performance on premium devices. IMAX digitally re-mastered content for the home environment is created to provide the sharpest 4K HDR images and powerful sound as the filmmaker intended. We are designing an IMAX Mode for the enhanced devices that will be meticulously optimized to play digitally re-mastered content to deliver the best viewing and listening experience on that device.

What you'll be doing:

  • Define, refine, and document creative standards and guidelines for the IMAX Enhanced post-production team

  • Manage scheduling needs for IMAX Enhanced related production and post production content

  • Respond to and problem solve technical and/or logistical issues related to the IMAX Enhanced initiative

  • Work closely with the IMAX Post Engineering and DMR System Support departments to maintain systems, and troubleshoot any issues

  • Collaborate with internal teams including Distribution, Legal, Post/Ops/DMR as well as with external partners as the point of contact for IMAX Enhanced

  • Manage internal and external communication including any changes to workflow or deliverable requirements

  • Manage post-production archive process and content library

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Responsible for ensuring QC is completed and IMAX standards are met

  • Communicate directly with studio representatives, IMAX Post Production, and DMR team to define and gather post production materials required for all Home Entertainment deliveries

  • Coordinate with IMAX Post Production and DMR teams to ensure timely deliveries of Home Entertainment

  • Track and log transmissions and proof of deliveries

  • Generate orders as needed

  • Manage the workflow of IMAX Enhanced content orders including the full cycle from the IO department to studio-partners, and vendors

What we're looking for:

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree and 3 to 5 years' experience in production management; must also have a good understanding of production workflow and have hands-on experience

  • Thorough understanding of production management and operational procedures

  • Must have strong project management, time management and interpersonal skills

  • Team player with flexibility to accommodate different personalities and work styles as well as confidence to manage interactions and expectations at all levels of the organization

  • Experience working under pressure while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be a self-starter and work well without constant supervision

  • Strong organizational skills, work ethic, initiative, sense of urgency, and attention to detail

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required

  • Demonstrated customer service orientation desired with an approachable and personable outlook

  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize and successfully manage multiple and shifting tasks, priorities and deadlines in a volatile production based environment with limited supervision

RESPONSIBILITIES * Management of order confirmations to factories on all order details. * Manage and maintain purchase order accuracy. * Prepare and update confirmed placement sheets for orders confirmed. * Ensure production matches the production ready samples. * Report to Technical Services any revisions and updates needed in Tech Packages and Bills of Materials. * Track and prepare materials/samples for pre-production approvals and monitor to ensure tests are performed. * Support costing process by creating and distributing packages. * Assist in trim sourcing and development of care instructions. * Assist Manager in management of flow. * Work closely with all vendors and Managers/Associates to ensure adherence to time and action calendars to achieve on-time delivery. * Arrange fabric inspection, monitor fabric inventory, track liabilities. * Monitor production status. * Track shipments from vendor to distribution center. * Track, check, and distribute daily packages from vendors * Develop relationships with mentors, peers and all sourcing channels.
