About the Role:

With general guidance from functional management, responsible for providing team leadership to a group of employees committed to increased quality and productivity. Supports demand of the business unit. Identifies and analyzes problems, plans tasks and solutions. Provides guidance to team on development, performance & productivity issues. Reports to functional and/or organization management on team accomplishments, achievements & productivity.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Plans and oversees strategic and operational plans of broad significance to the site

  • Establishes and implements short- and long-range operations goals, objectives and strategic plans; monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.

  • Manages and/or provides day-to-day leadership to Supervisors and cross functional team members and set priorities accordingly.

  • Commit to plant safety procedures

  • Lead & create engagement around continuous improvement and lean activities within the production line/area

  • Enable a culture of Operational Excellence throughout the production line/area cross-functional team

  • Track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to achieve or exceed product cost goals.

  • Analyze S&OP (Sales & Operating Plan) requirements and provide production commitments for the production line/area including non-commercial requirements

  • Implements a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements, writing justifications for additional personnel, obtaining approval for changes, and coordinating the selection process with Human Resources.

  • Develops direct reports by securing appropriate training, assigning progressively challenging tasks, applying progressive disciplinary action as appropriate and conducting formal written and verbal performance reviews.

  • Interacts with internal and external customers, by meeting regularly, responding to requests and explaining procedures.

  • Interprets and executes policies that affect individuals within the assigned organizational unit or department.

  • Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations etc).

  • Develops work schedules for department by assessing priorities, workload and available resources.

  • Maintains personnel records (e.g., work schedules, vacation schedules, leaves) and makes or directs modifications in the database to reflect actual changes

What We're Looking For In You:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 7+ years of production management experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills

  • May lead a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization.

  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.

  • May direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations.

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements).

Additionally, the Supplier Quality Engineer will support global sourcing, manufacturing operations, and global quality systems by participating in global communities of practice and value improvement projects. The Rhythm Management Supplier Quality Engineering team is looking for high energy, driven, passionate people, looking to not just change jobs, but start an amazing career! Drives improvement and corrective action in the quality of components sourced from outside suppliers. Provides technical support in the selection of suppliers. Develops acceptance criteria for materials. Monitors supplier performance to drive supplier corrective action, manufacturing yield issues and field failures. Your Responsibilities * Assess suppliers for technical, quality and manufacturing capabilities. * Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems of diverse scope and complexity where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises authority and judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Has a broad knowledge of a variety of alternatives and their impact on the business unit. * Plans and organizes non-routine tasks with approval. Initiates or maintains work schedule and priorities. Plans and organizes project assignments and maintains project schedules. * Works under general direction regarding the direction and progress of projects and special assignments. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Interprets, executes and recommends modifications to company policies. Assists in establishing departmental policies and procedures. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. * Establishes and cultivates a wide range of business relationships to facilitate completion of assignments. Interacts with suppliers. Participates in determining goals and objectives for projects. May lead projects within the function or department and/or represents a specialized field in larger project teams. Influences middle management on business solutions. * Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects.
