Job Purpose:

The Production Manager will oversee the supervisory staff and manage all production activities within the Romulus, MI plant. This role is pivotal in ensuring the health and safety of production employees while maintaining high morale and meeting all production schedules and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Production Oversight: Ensure that production schedules are met without compromising on quality.
• Labor Relations: Address collective agreement issues and manage grievance matters effectively.
• Performance Review: Analyze departmental performance against budget and operational goals; devise continuous improvement strategies.
• Team Leadership: Foster team-based manufacturing concepts among production employees.
• Management Team Involvement: Participate actively in budgeting, planning, and implementing TQM (Total Quality Management) and the 5S program.
• Safety Compliance: Uphold safe work practices and instill a safety-first mindset within the plant.

Job Requirements:

• Experience: At least 5 years of progressive managerial experience in a manufacturing operation, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management, Production Management, or a related field in Business Manufacturing.
• Industry Experience: Must have experience in the automotive industry.
• Skills:
