The Role:

Our site in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking a Production Manager to join our team. The Production Manager is responsible to lead a team of supervisors and operators in achieving production goals focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement. The successful Production Manager will foster a team-oriented approach to problem solving by providing coaching, training, and development for supervisors and operators.

The hired individual will be a part of a multi-faceted team that supplies critical solutions to the ultra-high purity semiconductor market. Demand for our products is rising rapidly and we are looking for someone who can help us ensure that our staff is being developed and trained in the best way possible.

What You'll Do:

• Create and foster a culture focused on continuous improvement with bias for action.

• Develop high performing work teams at each level of the production organization focused on meeting safety, production, quality, and cost objectives.

• Develop strong cross functional relationships with EHS, Human Resources, Quality, Planning, Logistics, Engineering, Finance, Maintenance, Training and Product Management.

• Drive 5S, Six Sigma, and other process improvement initiatives in production.

• Participate and/or lead various teams and programs that include but are not limited to Ergonomics, ERT, Kaizen, and be a representative for all onsite operations activities

• Develop, maintain, and report out on production metrics while identifying any performance concerns.

• Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.

• Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.

• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

• Hold supervisors accountable to goals and improvement plans while developing their leadership and coaching skills.

• Ensure that products are manufactured in accordance with defined quality requirements. Support the evaluation and investigation of product issues and quality defects. Recommends and implements solutions to improve quality of products.

• Be a role model for safety and consistently showcase PACE values.

• Ensure required production data entry and record keeping in MRP, Quality, and Production Data systems.

• Follows standard Engineering and Technology practices and procedures. Demonstrates a willingness to complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in order to support the overall organization. Participates in Entegris' continuous quality improvement process and dedication to customer satisfaction.

• Assists manufacturing in solving technical problems and debugging of products or processes.

• Develops and maintains production schedules to meet the needs of customers by increasing manufacturing flexibility and reducing lead times.

What We Seek:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Operations, or related field; 5+ years' experience in a supervisory role

• Demonstrated leadership skills in a fast paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.

• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to identify, influence and drive process improvement through collaboration.

• Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following site safety/quality standards.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

• Lean, 6-Sigma, or GMP certification preferred.

• Strong SAP or other equivalent ERP system experience

• Astute attention to detail; ability to assess Safety and Quality needs of the site and translate those into operational strategies.

• Strong planning, problem solving and organizational skills.

• 3+ years of experience managing semiconductor operations.
