Production Manager

Eaton's Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) Airport Lighting Products (ALP) division is currently seeking a Production Manager. This role is based out of our Windsor, CT facility. ALP comprises a wide range of products and solutions that illuminate the way for safe and reliable airfield operations. Our products are used in demanding harsh and hazardous environments. Quality and delivery are paramount to our customers' success.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year.

What you'll do:

Our Production Manager will develop strategic direction and lead manufacturing resources to ensure production objectives are met according to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity metrics.

In this role you will:

• Lead the team to achieve Eaton and our Customer's operational performance objectives.

• Consistently attain and exceed financial objectives, including shipments, profitability, absorption, work in process inventory, and labor productivity.

• Lead & implement Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) tools.

• Develop and maintain a trained, quality-centered manufacturing workforce.

• Drive workforce engagement, positive employee relations, and create a high-performance work force.

• Foster a culture that promotes the Eaton Quality System and Eaton Leadership Model

• Drive value stream approach throughout, working collaboratively and cross-functionally to get results through others inside and outside the organization.

• Direct the planning for current and future requirements for material, manpower, equipment, and space to manufacture and distribute effectively, efficiently, and profitably.

• Achieve expectations established as part of the annual budget and annual performance goals. Take corrective actions when required to ensure expectations are achieved.

• Hire, lead, and develop personnel to achieve their career objectives while delivering production objectives.

• Develop and deploy strategic initiatives to drive consistent and continuously improving operational results - across safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.

• Maintain oversite and accountability for ensuring preventative maintenance processes are followed.

• Measure, drive actions, and report operational performance in Operating Reviews, Staff Meetings, and in Daily accountability meetings.

• Ensure operational resiliency and flexibility by coordinating and tracking cross-training activities, skill development programs, labor productivity, and manufacturing capacities.

• Deploy Environmental Health and Safety initiatives to support a Zero Incident Culture.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution OR a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

• No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Windsor, CT to be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a complex Make to Order or Project Based Business

• Superior working knowledge of advanced Microsoft Applications, SAP, and MRP Systems

• Leadership experience in a high accountability culture and metrics driven environment.

• Environmental Health & Safety initiatives experience
