Essential Job Functions and Qualifications

  • Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.

  • Coordinates activities to establish production requirements and prepares a production plan to meet customer needs. Prepares a weekly production schedule and prioritizes production.

  • Forecast weekly resin requirements based on customer requirements and communicated as requested by corporate purchasing.

  • Analyze customer requirements and plan production to ensure efficient utilization of equipment and personnel.

  • Maintains an inventory of raw materials required for production and inventory of bottles maintained in on and off-site warehouses and trailers.

  • Ensures ample and timely supply of Finished Goods, Resin, Color, Consumables, and Regrind/Lump.

  • Establish and publish tracking devices to measure on-time delivery.

  • Support and provide feedback to customer service, sales representatives and plant leaders on status of work orders.

  • Manage company and plant capacity model for all production lines.

  • Maintain month end inventory process and develop and recommend ideas to reduce physical inventories.

  • Maintain a list of suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.

  • Maintain plant budget and keeps leadership informed.

  • Manage plant budget and submit reports to corporate office.


  • Minimum three years' experience in a supervisory or managerial role.

  • Manufacturing Industry experience.

  • Microsoft Office proficiency.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to wear multiple hats and work in a multi-task environment.

  • Strong organizational skills.

Production Operator (2103695) Sparta, TN Formula for Success: You Will… Responsibility and accountability includes, but is not limited to: • Conduct routine safety and equipment inspections and utilize various reporting mechanisms to rectify issues • Record proper operating and material information for production lot processing • Operate manufacturing equipment according to production ISO/TS 16949 procedures • Process set-up instruction sheets, blend instruction sheets, etc. • Prepare packaging for finished goods with proper labeling and materials identification • Gather, stage, and load proper materials for product compounding collect samples for QC and color testing • Perform housekeeping to maintain production and operations in neat and orderly condition. • Operate peripheral and auxiliary equipment such as fume collection system, dust collection system, bulk pellet transfer systems, etc. • Participate in problem-solving to make necessary equipment repairs or process corrections to maintain required production quality and volume. • Operate a forklift to move needed raw materials and scrap materials to properly designated areas • Provide production or operations support as directed by Team Leader or other management • Complete audits and inspections (total productive maintenance, housekeeping checklists, etc.) • Complete required monthly training (classroom training, computer based training, etc.) • Help train 1 NT and 2NT employees in their support roles (Temp/Contractors) • Troubleshoot problems in support areas • Alignment of these tasks and activities will be dependent upon team alignment of duties, as well as product volume and schedule mix, which may affect specific tasks required on any given day. • Initiate and support various team projects • Demonstrate flexibility and openness to change • Excellent communication skills • Read and interpret operating instructions and procedure manuals • Effectively verbally communicate in a team environment with members of other functions or shifts • Respond effectively to inquiries or complaints Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You… Basic Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED.
