A brighter future is in your hands. We're currently seeking a Production Manager (PM). The Production Manager (PM) schedules and directs personnel and resources towards providing quality, cost-effective services to clients. PMs also support the Account Manager in estimating and budgeting as needed.

What you'll do:

  • Understand client needs via regular communication with the Account Manager.

  • Ensure that job site quality and appearance meet client and BrightView standards.

  • Manage all landscape services, including the coordination of all materials, people, equipment and subcontractors required to produce quality work.

  • Inspect properties prior to scheduled service in order to properly prepare specific action plan for service. Adjust schedule as needed and follow up.

  • Monitor irrigations systems, identify problems or necessary repairs, and communicate recommendations to the appropriate party.

  • Monitor all aspects of the landscape and identify insect or disease problems.

  • As necessary, perform hands-on work with crews to meet work and scheduling demands.

  • Implement and enforce BrightView policies and procedures related to proper upkeep and maintenance, storage, use, and training required for branch equipment.

  • Work with the Account Manager to identify staffing needs, hire new crew members, and prepare daily crew schedules.

  • Ensure proper paperwork is completed for all employee changes and hires.

  • Communicate with, counsel, train, discipline, review, and develop growth plans for employees.

  • Hands-on training and support of crew members, including proper operation of equipment, pruning techniques, safety, and quality standards.

  • Focus on safety and monitor safety records.

  • Maintain and manage all required paperwork.

  • Coordinate with Branch Administrator to ensure branch databases are consistently updated with current client information.

  • Order materials as needed and monitor costs and deliveries.

  • Request purchase orders and use in accordance with company guidelines.

Skills we're seeking:

  • 2-4 years of prior working experience in the landscaping industry or local marketplace.

  • 1-2 years prior experience in a supervisory role.

  • 2 or 4 year degree in a landscape-related field or certification by a landscape association preferred.

  • Ability to coach and develop teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Production Supervisor will develop, schedule, and implement work activities for the Large Lamination team while having a full understanding of the technical phases of the job, and offering guidance and coaching to all personnel. * Establishes operating policies and procedures and interprets, executes and recommends modifications to organizational policies. Coordinates activities of the production process, including supervising personnel, assigning work, and coordinating product flow through the production and final assembly phases. Essential Functions 1. Supervises production and assembly staff in various locations through all phases of production. Offers guidance and coaching to manufacturing personnel. * Oversees the design and building of tooling needed for the production process. * Represents the production and assembly group with planning, test, quality, production control and engineering staff. Represents the group with outside vendors and customers regarding projects, operations, scheduling and contractual requirements. * Analyzes work orders and blueprints to determine information such as material to be used, type and sequence of operations required. Ensures and monitors adequate usage and supply of all production materials and tooling. * Interprets, executes and recommends plans, policies, procedures and schedules. * Schedules and coordinates work assignments. Ensures accurate time charging. * Participates in the development of over-all objectives and long term goals of the group. * Implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product. Develops and oversees changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the departments. * Oversees configuration changes in the product and supports field upgrades and operations. * Manages and participates in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of human resources. Assigns, directs and reviews the work of employees. * Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work and lead the workplace in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Additional Functions Other duties as assigned or required. Job Qualifications Typically requires a bachelor's degree and eleven or more years of progressive professional experience in a production related environment emphasizing complex manufacturing and assembly techniques with at least five of those years in a supervisory capacity. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education. Must demonstrate extensive technical knowledge of production and assembly concepts and practices, and the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads and staff to meet established milestones.
