  • Meet all requirements of the management trainee program.

  • Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.

  • Confer with management personnel to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or manufacturing problems.

  • Plan, organize, or direct activities concerned with the manufacturing or maintenance of structures, facilities, or systems.

  • Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies.

  • Study job specifications to determine appropriate manufacturing methods.

  • Select, contract, and oversee workers who complete specific pieces of the project.

  • Direct and supervise workers.

  • Maintain a professional relationship with subordinates.

  • Comply with quality control requirements. Inspect or review products to monitor quality and ensure standards are being met.

  • Investigate damage, accidents, or delays to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.

  • Determine labor requirements.

  • Requisition supplies or materials to complete projects.

  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure all safety rules, processes and regulations are being followed.

  • Provide an environment and processes that optimizes safety and preserves the well-being of every employee at the plant.
  • Ensure Forterra's regulatory safety standards are understood and followed by all employees.

  • Ensure safety equipment is in sufficient supply and working properly.

  • Ensure safety audits occur and that deviations are followed up and resolved.

  • Ensure robust accident investigation process occurs.

  • Ensure maintenance on equipment and facilities occurs as required and needed.

  • Ensure the plant is clean and organized to promote safe and efficient operations.

  • Ensure the plant operates cost effectively within customer product expectations and Forterra's operating procedures and quality standards.
  • Ensure daily work in the plant is completed to achieve the job specifications and time requirements.

  • Ensure Forterra's operations and quality standards are being consistently met throughout the plant.

  • Compress cycle times, lead times, and changeover times within areas in the plant to minimize waste.

  • Provide and execute a process for correcting and solving problems and improving existing methods in the plant.

  • Ensure the employees, materials and equipment are sufficient to accomplish the plants scheduled work.
  • Ensure each work area is properly staffed, with competent people, for the scheduled work

  • Ensure required material is available for the scheduled production work.

  • Ensure the equipment is being maintained and maximum up-time is achieved.

  • Ensure every plant worker understands the work schedule and responsibilities for their respected area.

  • Maintain a system of open communication with plant workers and plant manager.

  • Ensure material and equipment (tools, machines, molds, etc) are on-site and in place for each day's production.
    4.Performance Management

  • Provide leadership and create a positive work environment. These responsibilities will be carried out in accordance with the company's policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations. Actions includes employment decisions, performance management, training, safety, onboarding, compliance, annual objective setting and employee development, planning, assigning and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Provide data analysis and feedback to work areas that will improve execution within the plant.

  • Provide a visual reporting system to communicate work area performance.

  • Ensure company/operations information is clearly communicated to employees.

  • Follow-through to ensure reports and information are understood and used for those requesting/needing the data.

Maintain competence in Forterra's all business systems (Syteline, Dispatch App, Reports Module, Microsoft Software, etc.).

Reporting Relations: Accountable and Reports to: Store Director, Assistant Store Director; Managers Of GM, Perishables, and Store Operations, Assistant Managers, Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacists Direct Reports: None Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store. 2. Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store. 3. Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible. 4. Assists customers by: (examples include) * escorting them to the products they're looking for * securing products that are out of reach * loading or unloading heavy items * making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests * performing other tasks in every way possible to enhance the shopping experience. 5. Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call. 6. Stocks received product and supplies and marks stickers accordingly. 7. Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress. 18. Gathers patient information required to prepare prescriptions. 19. Keeps pharmacy supplies well stocked. 20. Performs cash transactions. 21. Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines. 22. Reports to work when scheduled and on time. Secondary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Completes the sale. 2. Assists in other areas of store as needed. 3. Performs other job related duties and special projects as required. Education and Experience: High school or equivalent experience. Over six months up to one year of similar or related experience.
