The Derivatives Application Management Team within Investments IT is seeking a dynamic and experienced technical associate to provide operational support for the Derivatives application suite as well as closely partner with Application Development counterparts on strategic and regulatory initiatives that drive superior business value, enhanced customer experience and compliance. The role will provide the associate with an opportunity to interface with front, middle and back office teams across the globe and build both technical and functional knowledge across the multiple lines of business such as Derivatives and Securities Lending. The role, although very demanding, allows a motivated associate to learn from some of the best technical and functional experts in the Derivatives space, thrive under a culture of continuous process improvements and above all, be part of a fun, friendly and vibrant group.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science (preferred) or a related engineering field
Solid technical background with 7+ years of demonstrated track record in end-to-end software development life cycle and successful delivery of technical solutions using Java/J2EE
Strong knowledge of any mainline RDBMS (Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task
High degree of learning capacity and analytical & problem solving skills; accountability and ownership to drive solutions across cross-functional teams
The ability to get things done and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-pressure environment despite constantly changing priorities
Knowledge of capital markets and/or investments management and trade lifecycle & settlements. Any experience with Derivatives products is a major bonus.
Experience with Murex trading/ risk management platform
Knowledge of any flavor of Unix - Linux/ Solaris
Background working with a scheduling software such as Tivoli Work Station (TWS) or Autosys
Microsoft SharePoint, SSIS and SSRS
