Production Maintenance Technician

Job Description Job Description Production Maintenance Technician needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Scientific’s client located in San Diego, CA. This position will be for a major biotech company and is suitable for someone with a high school graduate or GED required, technical school training in maintenance related courses is preferred.

Shift: Monday – Friday, flex start time between 6 am – 8 am, but overtime can often be required due to unexpected maintenance issues. Key Responsibilities Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.

Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts. Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments. Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.

Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance. Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains electronic records and documentation to comply with industry requirements. Qualifications 1 years of related work experience High school graduate or GED required, technical school training in maintenance related courses are preferred Ability to understand and interpret design documents, manufacturer s specifications and written operational procedures.

Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure teamwork and positive client/tenant/co-worker relations. Be able to take direction and follow instructions. Must be safety conscious.

Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure accuracy and timely completion. Capable of doing extensive walking, climbing of stairs and ladders, lifting/carrying a minimum of 50 pounds by applying proper body mechanics. Willingness to work overtime on special projects as required.

Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related software. Have working knowledge of tools and their proper use. Opportunity is Calling, Apply Now Contract: 6-month contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion.
