Production Maintenance Supervisor

Position Overview

Navistar is seeking a Production Maintenance Supervisor to lead our skilled trades (Millwrights, Electricians, Plumber/Steamfitter and HVACR) in the maintenance activities for our Springfield Assembly Plant.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the maintenance of production equipment. Maintains production equipment in a manner that meets company standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime

• Oversees technicians that repair and maintain the production and test equipment

• Establishes and maintains preventive maintenance programs and procedures

• Manages training programs to ensure proper operation, preventive maintenance, and repair programs and procedures

• Maintains inventory and/or spare parts

• Schedules manufacturing maintenance activities

• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree

• At least 3 years of maintenance experience

OR

• Master's degree

• At least 1 year of maintenance experience

OR

• At least 5 years of maintenance experience

Additional Requirements

• Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

• Experience with production maintenance planning strongly desired

• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) INFOR highly desired but not required

• Supervising a represented workforce in the skilled trades (Millwright, Electrician, Plumber/Steamfitter and Industrial HVACR)

• Understanding of automated systems and required maintenance activities

• Understanding of robotics and related programmable automation

• Understanding of preventative maintenance systems

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and AutoCAD

• Demonstrated analytical, planning and organizational skills
