Production Lead

Job Description Job Description PRIMARY FUNCTION The Production Lead is responsible for monitoring the activities of the machine operators, and other functions on the line, with an emphasis on product quality, on-time delivery, cost and factory production efficiency. Additionally, the Lead is responsible for supporting general housekeeping, and workplace safety.

The production lead is responsible for the training and development of employees and ensuring they are adhering to handbook guidelines and rules. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain a safe and clean work environment by maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures Ensure a work environment exists for employees that provides strong interaction between all shift team members to effectively communicate concerns regarding production Identify resource needed and supply the assembly line to ensure that the production schedule is met Ensure material is handled adequately in order to avoid damage and/or prevent loss Ensure all manufacturing processes needed to build a quality product are in place and up to date Monitor and ensure Scrap and DMR’s are managed real-time with the appropriate root cause and corrective action analysis as needed Performs other duties as assigned Job Requirements High School diploma or GED Flexible schedule, able to work scheduled OT Minimum 2 years of lead experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred Sound working knowledge of lean manufacturing with demonstrated team participation and/or leadership and related continuous improvement successes Experience in leadership, problem solving, conflict resolution, and organization Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with reading and interpreting data (data driven analysis) Work well independently and in a team environment Working with industrial manufacturing equipment on production line TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS Use of hands and tools to properly perform the job Work in an ESD environment wearing ESD equipment Incumbent must be able to operate a computer Stooping, bending, stretching, and reaching outward and over their head This position may require extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary Lift minimum of forty (40) pounds Willingness to cross-train into other departments OTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Vision Sense of sound Sense of touch ESD equipment PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS Adhere to all organizational information security policies and protect all sensitive information in accordance with organizational policy, Federal, State, and local regulations.
