POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Technical Lead monitors production and directs the performance and quality output of team members in the assigned area(s). Oversees the operating of production equipment to meet daily production goals, ensuring compliance with safety rules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and current good manufacturing practice (cGMP). Responsible for planning, implementing, and assigning work to personnel on the Bar Line. Ensures that materials and equipment are in place to perform the work. Additional duties will be to train and guide employees in proper methods to complete the jobs.

WHAT YOU BRING (MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS)

• Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of college in a technical field desired

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a lead role in a food manufacturing environment desired

• Experienced in training operators in equipment and processes

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in food processing and Packaging operations

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to effectively communicate in English via speaking, writing, and reading

• Must be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands

WHAT YOULL DO (OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

• Ensures that materials and equipment are in place to perform the work

• Monitors the production process to attain daily requirements and goals

• Troubleshoots and problem solves any issues with quality, process or equipment

• Adheres to all company policies, safety regulations, quality programs, and standard operating procedures

• Organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work; trains and guides employees in proper methods and procedures

• Ensures product quality, methods and procedures are met

• Leads continuous improvements initiatives in the department to meet quality and Production efficiency objectives

• Meets daily production schedules and requirements

• Anticipates and troubleshoots production issues. Where feasible devise procedures to off-set schedule interruptions

• Polices use of safety devices, equipment, departmental housekeeping, and maintain constant alert for any hazardous conditions

• Provides other support to production and management, as required

• Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• A large percentage of the time is spent in the production area where noise level can be moderate to high

• Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free manufacturing environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and reach

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

• Push/Pull up to 300 lbs.
