Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is searching for a Production Lead for our concrete pole facility in Fort Pierce, FL. As a member of the production team at Meyer Utility Structures, you'll work with a great group of people who really care about the job they do. You'll follow specific instructions to perform a variety of routine manual labor tasks and will assist other skilled workers in production, process, or maintenance tasks, ensuring that all production is following engineering requirements.

What you'll do:
Lead team in manufacturing process to ensure quality and timely production.
May operate specialized equipment that requires advanced skills
Train, instruct and direct work activities of employees
Perform and assist other skilled workers involved in the production of concrete poles including fabrication, demolding, finishing and assembly by a variety of functions such as assembling and placing component parts, sorting, and counting, cleaning, sweeping, storing of tools and other tasks as needed
Read and interpret fabrication drawings, production manuals and work instructions
Observe work crew members to assure quality standards and safe work practices are being met
Participate in inventories of materials and supplies
Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials
Apply knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of complex tasks
Follow and ensure other crew members follow all safety practices, procedures, and protocols
Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition.
Become involved in safety committees or initiatives
Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
Must be hands on
Perform other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including but not limited to production supervision
An understanding of manufacturing work environment
Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
Positive, Team-based attitude
The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk and climb stairs
The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
The ability to be a strong leader and to work with a diverse workforce
The ability to work any shift and different hours.
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
