Q4 is looking for an Production / Installation Technician with strong multi-tasking skills to assist with the manufacturing and technical support of Q4 products including but not limited to visual display systems, simulators, in-house support, and travel to customer site, as needed - for onsite installation and repairs. The ideal candidate is organized and dependable with the ability to work in a fast paced environment with a level head, and a small margin of error. Specific responsibilities include:


  • Assist in the disassembling and reassembling of visual displays and structures by working with fiberglass, wood, metal, and acrylic parts as needed;

  • Attends site trips to assist, learn, and install/modify/disassemble/pack/re-assemble install / build ground / flight training device components;

  • Take direction from and learn from Site Lead to increase knowledge of product specs, customer relations, vendor relations and customer-specific specifications.

  • Assemble, build, modify, and fit Simulation grade visual display systems as needed;

  • Assist with maintenance of tools and equipment;

  • Organize and prepare the shop for production;

  • Offload/load deliveries or shipments as needed;

  • Assist with palletizing and inventory of shipments;

  • Learn to verify tool crates and kits are packed per BOM in preparation of shipment;

  • Support metalized film decanting as needed;

  • Perform miscellaneous projects as required;


  • Understanding of all mechanical interface designs and drawings.

  • Knowledge of basic hand tools including pop riv, rivnuts, countersink, power tools, assoc. tools, saws (band saw, jig saw and other wood cutting equipment) and drill press. Ability to convert from standard to metric using a calculator or chart.

  • Min. of 1-2 years of experience with fabricating, positioning, aligning and fitting parts of structural composite/metal products. Experience driving a fork lift.

  • Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or 6 mo - 1 yr related exp. or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with fiberglass and/or acrylic is a plus.

  • Ability to travel.
