The Production Foreman is responsible and accountable for production activities including production optimization.

  • Communicates with direct supervisor, local management and production engineers.

  • Directs and/or provides supervision of certain tasks performed by all assigned technicians.

  • Provides direction and supervision of subcontracted services, to include but not limited to roustabouts, pipeline contractors, well servicing contractors, electricians and electrical contractors, contract pumpers, and materials suppliers and delivery personnel.

  • Provides and/or ensures accurate and timely reporting of daily activities provided by service specialists, contractors and technicians.

  • May be given responsibility for special data gathering tasks requiring coordination of services and materials under the direction of Reservoir Engineering.

  • Coordinates materials needs and delivery timing activities with Procurement.

  • Confirms services provided and verifies accuracy of invoices versus field tickets and authorizes expenditures within Approval Authority.

  • Accounts for materials used and assists in inventory reconciliation as required.

  • Provides technical assistance to Regulatory, Accounting and Production Engineering Technicians.

  • Ensures timely and accurate data and reports from Technicians and contract specialists.


  • Must have an intricate knowledge of On Shore Orders pertaining to Oil and Gas handling, measurement, storage and sales.

  • Oil and Natural Gas Liquids work experience preferred.

  • High school diploma or GED, minimum of 5 years of oil and gas production experience.

  • Must be self-motivated and an enthusiastic team player capable of completing complex tasks to meet sensitive deadlines and production goals.

  • Must effectively motivate, train and coach direct reports in order to create a cohesive team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle multiple tasks with changing and conflicting responsibilities and accountabilities.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with Regulatory Agencies.

  • Takes a proactive approach, addressing potential problems quickly.

  • Demonstrates ability to coordinate and plan short and long-term work tasks to meet challenging production and budget goals.

  • Perform multiple tasks related to production optimization, well set-up and start-up, and ongoing production and maintenance operations activities.

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of telecommunications system from wellhead, pod building, including proficiency in accessing data from the telecommunications PC and providing reports and case histories to track production optimization.

Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions. Basic Qualifications: Limited experience in assembly operations, and familiarity with shop routines and use of hand and power tools required for this position. Duties: Under the direction of supervision or higher classified Aircraft Electrician, assembles, installs, mounts and connects electrical cables, harnesses, sub-assemblies and component parts. 2. Work from drawings, blueprints, manufacturing specifications and procedures, quality procedures and instructions, operations work sheets and company, military and customer specifications procedures. 3. Adhere to all applicable environmental, safety and health, and operations procedures and directives. 4. Notify supervision of any/all malfunctions, defects and damages of equipment, material and product. 5. Check work for completeness and accuracy. 6. Perform Production Accountability duties associates with the processing, verification, and quality auditing and inspection of assemblies, parts and tooling for which the individual has been delegated production accountability. 7. Keep work area clean and orderly. 8. May be required to work in other fields incidental to, and in connection with, completion of assignment. 9. May be required to perform other related duties as assigned. Job Knowledge and Educational Requirement Four (4) years of high school or equivalent plus vocational or similar training, including shop math to interpret and work from blueprints, electronic data, specifications, manuals, operations work sheets, and verbal instructions. Maintain required certifications. General Physical Requirements Lifting, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, grasping, holding, reaching, pushing and pulling are generally required to perform the functions of this position.
