Polychem Corp, a leader in the packaging industry, is seeking a Production Foreman for our Accessories Department.

The Production Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily production in the Accessories shop floor. This includes employee supervision and/or coaching, production scheduling, meeting manpower requirements and placements, as well as on-the-job training for employees.

The foreman leads by example in the key areas of Safety, Quality, and Productivity.

The Accessories Department currently consists of three production areas involving Process Manufacturing.

Requirements

*HS diploma/GED; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management preferred

*Three to five years of production supervisory experience

*Excellent communication and leadership skills

*Strong proficiency in MS Office including Word and Excel; JDE knowledge a plus

*Flexible schedule and ability to work overtime when needed

*Ability to troubleshoot and provide preventative maintenance and thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of all duties

*Must maintain certification for First Aid/CPR/AED and Annual Training of Drug Free Workplace

Benefits

*Full time, salaried Non-exempt, 40 hours per week

*Competitive starting salary based on experience; pay range $35,000 - $50,000/annual

Position Summary Identify and prioritize production requirements and coordinate the flow of materials and parts to meet production schedules. Establish, maintain, and track weekly and monthly production schedule. Provide daily production records. Provide weekly and monthly production and inventory reports. These duties are performed with minimal supervision and considerable latitude. Duties * Establishes and coordinates the production schedule based upon master schedule requirements. Review, adjust, and monitor schedule with planning and manufacturing as needed to maintain production objectives. This includes controlling the flow of all work orders for the Manufacturing departments. * Compiles and maintains manual and computerized records of material inventory and status and location of materials. * Tracks, tabulates, and maintains computerized records of all scrap produced by the production departments. Also monitors and controls all miscellaneous inventory transactions of production materials. * Resolves and prevents problems by coordinating activities with production management to assure that the shop floor flow of material and labor is accurately recorded and that work order reports are accurate. Duties - cont'd Education Degree Associate's Degree Required Experience * Minimum four (4) year's experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably working in materials. * Two (2) years experience with material management/inventory control strongly preferred. * Experience with production computer systems and processes required.
