Join us in creating a future beyond fossils UPM Raflatac is looking for a Production Engineer who is responsible for day to day activities associated with manufacturing process, including safety, achieved quality level, volume produced, run-ability of raw materials. Long term process development work in collaboration with site Leadership. Engineering aptitude, high attention to detail, and the ability to optimize production processes for maximum quality and efficiency are necessary skills for this role.

Chris Raper, General Manager, Fletcher, Films and Specials SBU What you will do Perform all activities in full compliance of all laws, safety and environmental regulations, and in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures Will have responsibility for coating operations, finishing operations, and cleaning operations Evaluate and respond to customer claims and plan corrective actions in order to prevent the problem from recurring Follow product specifications and quality control measures as defined by Quality Management System May visit customers and suppliers to identify issues and work toward resolution Process development and coordination of maintenance of the coating and finishing equipment in cooperation with the maintenance team and General Manager Implementation and control over working procedure Maintain appropriate documentation related to processes, performance, etc., analyze as appropriate to determine and capitalize on best practices Who you are You have a combination of education and experience equivalent to BS in Engineering (Material Science, Chemical, or Mechanical) and 1 - 2 relevant experience in paper or paper converting industry You have good understanding of mechanical requirements of relevant machinery (preferably newer, high-technology systems) You have demonstrated technical / practical problem-solving ability, while demonstrating inventiveness and initiative You have advanced communication skills, and the ability to relate well to a wide range of constituents You are able to function well as a member of a team Previous project team experience preferred This is what we offer for you A meaningful job
