Responsibilities:

Use knowledge of, and experience with, manufacturing methods/procedures and process technology; design and implementation of continuous improvement themes; manpower distribution based on production and efficiency targets; troubleshooting; instructing repair techniques; root cause analysis; reading and creating blueprints and schematics; hands-on programming in booth or work cell; programmable logic controllers (such as OMRON, AllenBradley, Siemens); off-line simulations; 3D-CAD software applications (such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Catia, Siemens NX); pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and computer-controlled systems; and process devices (such as motor drives, sensors, AC/DC converters, encoders, lifts, conveyors) to develop, implement, and improve complex manufacturing production processes and methods. Monitor the factory's performance, manage and allocate manpower, strengthen and develop the organization's production and planning structure.

Develop best practices to improve production capacity, quality and reliability. Manage the implementation of continuous improvement processes for efficiency to create a Lean Manufacturing environment. Investigate problems, analyze root causes and derive resolutions.

Use 8D Problem Solving Process to ensure sustainable quality products. Develop operational strategies to achieve production and financial objectives. Assure product and process quality by designing complex testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.

Participate in budget preparation and monitor expenses and profitability. Write specification books; request and evaluate supplier quotations. Design, document, and implement medium to large-scale manufacturing processes.

Determine feasibility of product changes. Utilize system analysis of production methods/procedures and process automations for continued growth improvements. Perform a variety of complicated tasks relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Evaluate current production activities and drive improvements. Periodically ensure that highly technical equipment meets required specifications and high-quality standards. Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards.

Contribute to product and process quality design testing methods. Develop planning standards, methods, and procedures. Plan workplaces considering ergonomics.

Stay current with product specifications, engineering technology and production processes.

Provide guidance to team members to accomplish production goals. Mentor and provide guidance to less senior manufacturing engineers for skill/knowledge base development.

Motivate, develop, direct and influence team members at all levels and cultural backgrounds of the organization. May act as deputy for Production Manager. Propose and manage medium-scale projects from beginning to end.

May scope and manage large capital investment projects (>$5M). Participate in regularly scheduled team meetings. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifikationen

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related and five (5) years of employment experience evidencing demonstrable ability to perform the stated job duties. In lieu of the Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related and five (5) years of experience, the employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and experience.
