Description
Support of Logistics Production Department with Digitalization: Supports and implements projects to enable new technologies and innovations in the Logistics area.
The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
Introduce new technologies and set-up trials in small areas to test new technologies and their application in production.
Support Section Leader areas in learning about new methods of digitalization for future usage in alignment with the BMW iFactory.
Support data analytics initiatives through running and creating reports of Logistics KPIs (key process indicators) based on performance and targets.
Work along the Section Leaders, Innovation and PSP [Process Improvement Specialist] teams and take over small projects for process improvement through digitalization.
Work with process partners in Physical Logistics and Planning, as well as outside vendors.
Support data analysis for Production processes. Data collection will include exporting data out of SAP, KPI dashboard, Power BI and other BMW systems.
Qualifications
Degree with focus on process improvement and data analysis in manufacturing environment. IE Industrial Engineer, Supply Chain Management, IT, Data Science etc.
Proficient skills in MS office applications - Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and Microsoft Office.
Able to apply problem solving methods to aid in process analysis and project management skills.
Able to effectively communicate, work in both team/individual environment and steer projects with results.
Prefer previous internship or work experience in a manufacturing environment.
Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
