What You'll Do

In this role, you will be responsible for producing all marketing needs for Janie and Jack brand. The internal Creative team is responsible for all photography, campaign development, window and in-store signage, direct mail, print advertising, packaging and store supportrelated design needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • The Production Designer supports the Janie and Jack brand, producing mechanical artwork, versions and print ready materials.

  • Maintain consistency throughout execution with file naming and versioning

  • Build relationships with the Graphic Designers, while overseeing all aspects of pre-press production

  • Create and maintain accurate workflow log (excel document) tracking each deliverable's status

  • Utilizes traffic software for routing and traffic of all jobs.

  • Liaise with retouching, following image asset workflow

  • Liaise with (print) procurement team and printers

  • Build out large scale packaging programs with adapting consistency in templates, style sheets, file naming and artwork slugs

  • Maintain organization of digital server and accurately archive files, as well as signage libraries

  • Ensure clear and consistent file structure on server for all image assets

  • Create professional mock-ups for presentations and store walk-throughs

  • Use/trouble shoot FTP/Dropbox to send to files to vendors, both domestic and international

  • Understand die line construction and printer requirements, as relating to the development of artwork

  • Troubleshoot technical problems (computer technology, printer, servers, etc.)

  • Actively participate in all departmental status meetings, keeping team/MP updated on project status, initiatives and key production deliverables

What You'll Bring

  • Expert knowledge of Adobe CC or above, with skill excellence in InDesign and Illustrator

  • Expert knowledge of packaging production design/working with die lines and large sets of versioned formats

  • Expert understanding of Prepress techniques and preparing mechanicals for offset and web press printing

  • Great attention to detail with excellent verbal/written communication with both internal and external business partners

  • Ensure a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment,

  • Strong organizational and planning skills with ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Retail experience preferred

Are you ready to be a part of the Janie and Jack story? What You'll Do The Textile Designer will be responsible for creating beautiful prints. This individual will support the textile design process and report to the Design Director of Girl. This role will also partner with the other apparel designers on the team and production partners. This individual will research the market and conduct creative search for new ideas and development processes. Must have an eye for modern, classic and elevated textiles. Responsibilities: * Participate in pre-concept meetings with the design team to create well balanced, saleable lines * Design original prints and artwork; contribute ideas to design partner on color and placement * Re-color existing prints and artwork; make recommendations of purchased artwork * Produce mill sheets for textiles as well as create colorways and repeats * Responsible for technical instructions for factories/vendors to produce fabric prints * Make changes to prints and artwork and prepare legal copyright paperwork What You'll Bring * BA/BS degree with a minimum 3-5 years' experience in fashion retail * Experience with a variety of print and graphic design techniques a plus * Strong organizational skills with the ability to troubleshoot problems * MAC skills required, specifically Photoshop, Freehand and Illustrator.
