Would be responsible for designing and formatting content for print or digital, ensuring brand standards across color, font, and production quality across the EmblemHealth family of companies. Have the ability to scale and crop, retouch, change layout and update existing digital files to meet the organization branding goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Design materials for numerous audiences and applications:

  • Create new designs, or update existing designs and maintain various collateral materials within brand guidelines under the supervision of Production Manager

  • Contribute in the design and production of company communications for various internal clients including communications for our members, providers, brokers, groups, patients and prospects. Create and maintain various Word or PowerPoint templates

  • Production Management:

  • Attention-to-detail and organization is vital to ensure correct, compliant versions of communications are produced. This position will be responsible for organizing and filing their creative work appropriately and provide department support as needed.

  • Coordinate print projects from assignment to final production and filing on Design server.

  • Provide print vendors with collected art files and direction, specifying production time frames as requested by client.

  • Create, prepare and provide internal departments and external vendors with collation and mailing specifications and instructions.

  • Recommend production alternatives for quality and cost effectiveness.

  • Develop written production schedules and monitor these schedules against progress as needed.

  • Self-motivated team player:

  • Work well with internal clients to meet desired communications need. Highly-communicative and open to suggestions while leveraging your design expertise to create quality work.

  • Ability to solve problems and be resourceful and adaptable

  • Ability to plan, schedule and monitor progress across of large projects

  • Organize and prioritize a heavy workload which will entail tracking simultaneous projects

  • Work autonomously and ability to meet deadlines under stress

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Production, Graphic Arts or Graphic Design

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a graphic design firm, internal marketing team or full-service print shop with responsibility for tracking and monitoring simultaneous jobs is required

  • Communicate effectively and tactfully, both orally and in writing, with internal customers and outside vendors required

  • Working knowledge of the visual arts and production processes and theories

  • Intermediator or Advanced proficiency in Adobe Suites (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)

  • Advance knowledge of Adobe Acrobat. Creating interactive pdfs with fillable fields, editing existing pdfs

  • Knowledge of vector or a raster art outputting file for print (resolutions, color and size accuracies) required

  • Working knowledge of Office 365 (focus on PowerPoint) required

  • Knowledge of creating 508 accessibility and compliance tagging preferred

  • Senior-level knowledge of print technology and techniques, reproduction processes and photography and desktop publishing. Adobe Creative Suite software experience in a Mac environment preferred

  • Ability to act as a change agent; to operate with urgency; and to challenge the status quo required

  • Strong team player, self-starter and positive catalyst required

  • Detail orientation with strong organization and prioritization skills required

You will primarily work alongside designers, engineers, and marketing to ensure that designs are consistent and cohesive across our ecosystem.
