Specific Responsibilities

  • Assemble and send out technical packages to vendor including: detailed garments, construction sketch andproposed garment specs

  • Work with Design on layout comments for approval

  • Check the fit sample for construction and measurement accuracy and issue full graded specs to vendors undertech designer supervision

  • Assist in the fit session, prepare and steam samples and take notes of required corrections on fit andconstruction to send to vendor.

  • Assist with communication regarding garment review to vendors and follow up on required grading and/orconstruction corrections

  • Advise shipment/stock comments to vendors

  • Organize detailed files for department

  • Create and update sample tracking log on daily basis

  • Assist the Technical Dept. Manager in departmental projects such as manual updates and new handbook set up

  • Monitor Production quality as it comes into the distribution center.

  • Organize and clean out tech design closet on a monthly basis

Skills and Requirements

Competencies:

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportion percentages, area, circumference and volume

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

  • Good time management and organizational skills required

  • Fit knowledge is a plus

  • Ability to follow through with task completion

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Education and/or Experience:

  • Apparel related Associates or Bachelor's Degree from a Fashion School and industry experience preferred

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Illustrator and PhotoShop,
  • Familiarity with FlexPLM

The role of the Production Coordinator is meant to support assigned Producers with the day to day running of current jobs and projects. This person would be involved in bringing efficiencies for producers running current jobs ranging from internal systems and processes to client communication, interaction, and delivery. Responsibilities: * Assist producer with postings, layoffs, interfacing with client and client needs and quality control * Preparing shot lists * Compiling reference material and pitch content * Keeping the Mill's history archive and internal show reels up to date * Keeping our current client data base * Assisting their Producers and the scheduling department with any specific job related issues * Liaising with various departments to ensure that production and client needs are being fulfilled * Compiling credit list and PR details at job wrap * Wrangling meetings, sales calls and catalogued minutes of all Production meetings * Efficient response time to client queries and requests * Increased communication and productivity within the Production department * Maintained and up to date systems, databases and show reels * Good working knowledge and relationships with other Mill offices Requirements * Working knowledge of the Post Production process and the US advertising industry * Flexible working hours * Attention to detail and a willingness to go the extra mile * Ability to multitask and change direction depending on the current needs of the situation * Well organized and able to prioritize tasks * Able to take direction but also proactive in making suggestions and finding solutions * Resourceful and lateral thinking * Able to communicate at all levels/across all departments * Has a sense of duty and a keenness to learn about the post production industry The Mill will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative For Hiring.
