Role Summary:

The Production Coordinator is a highly self-motivated, data analysis driven, conscientious professional who coordinates and manages daily production activities, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. This position will be responsible for overall production related activities and administration/processing of data. Updating and tracking of records, work order processing, inventory cycle counts, PPE and other supplies orders, new hire orientation and other related duties as assigned. Expected to follow all E.A. Sween Company, department and safety policies and procedures.

Essential Competencies of the Role (3 - 5 Primary Areas):

This list of competencies is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other areas of responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

o Review and process production work orders in E1, ensuring information is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

o Critically reviews work order variance and work with Production Supervisors and Support Supervisor to resolve the work order variance.

o Closes open work orders.

o Creates and distributes reports, i.e. work order variance, work order labor variance and others.

o Places PPE orders and other operations supplies.

o Tracks and manages supplies and reorder levels to minimize shortages to ensure there is minimal interruptions of operations.

o Communicates promptly if there are supply issues.

o Tracks purchased orders, per quarter and annually.

o Provides high quality support for all areas within Operations as needed. This includes shipping receiving, inventory management and financial accounting.

o Coordinates and processes cycle counts - daily/weekly, ensuring that cycle counts classifications ABC are created and distributed to respective team members.

o Enters daily labor information.

o Tracks and updates attendance reports, daily, for all production shifts.

o Communicates absence/call ins, daily.

o Tracks and updates Safety Log report.

o Conducts new hire orientation, including safety training on all shifts.

o Tracks and updates staffing head counts report, daily.

o Inform Supervisors of staffing shortages, per-position, to back fill.

o Updates/enters new MAX-T run rates on RedZone Production App.

o Ensures production reports are saved and organized in the shared network, i.e. shift recaps, EMT calendars.

o Coordinates milestone anniversary recognition, spirit awards, and safety awards, across all shifts, within the Operations department.

o Manages and coordinates Operations sponsored events including those related to culture, employee engagement or other various meetings/events.

o Prepares PowerPoints and communications for various presentations including but not limited to ABC meetings, employee communications and postings, as defined/designated by Ops management.

  • Participates in Lean activities.

  • Drives customer and employee success by seeking opportunities for improvement.

  • Uses the "Spirit of EA Sween" to guide decisions.

  • Actively supports the department in all continuous improvement efforts.

  • Follows safety protocols

  • Successfully completes EA Sween quarterly safety training sessions for the purpose of complying with both OSHA regulations and EA Sween policy.

  • Meets assigned food safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities to support any regulatory requirements and customers' requirements.

  • Follows all GMPs, government regulations, and safety and production practices/procedures.

Equipment/Machinery/PPE's Used

  • iPad

  • RFS Scanner.

  • Pallet Jack/Rider Jack, Forklift.

PPEs:

  • Hard hat.

  • Eye wear as required.

  • Face mask, face shield.

Required Qualifications:

A. Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

B. Excellent written and oral communication skills

C. Proficient in Computer skills and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Excel (includes pivot tables, charts, formulas and linking data).

D. Basic math skills

E. Excellent analytical skills

F. Must be able to work well with various levels of employees and diverse cultures.

G. Production floor experience.

H. Occasional overtime is required; as well as the ability to work on occasional Saturdays.

I. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualification (if Applicable):

A. Production Coordinator/Planning/Assistance experience

B. Some college or vocational/technical training.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

A. Generally, an office/desk position computer and telephone.

B. Must be able to work in cool conditions (35 to 45 degrees), occasionally

C. Must be able to be on feet, occasionally.

D. Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push, pull, occasionally

E. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., occasionally

F. Must be able to work extra hours, evenings, and weekends if necessary.
