UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) is one of the world's largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products. ISR & Space Systems is a business unit within UTAS and our products reside in deep space, low earth orbit, undersea and on the ground. We are also a major supplier to international space programs. The ISR & Space Systems business has contributed to significant advances in ground, air, space and imaging technology for over 85 years. Within ISR & Space Systems we design and manufacture Environmental Control and Life Support Systems on the International Space Station, including the space suit, and undersea in submarines.

ISR & Space Solutions Windsor Locks is looking for energetic and highly motivated candidates for its Planning Organization. The position is the focal point for the execution of daily activities to deliver high quality, highly engineered development and production hardware on-time to its customers. The selected candidate will be responsible for the timely performance of various manufacturing tasks ranging from requirements planning through the shipment of deliverables in support of NASA and DoD Programs. Applicants must exhibit a high degree of initiative and sound judgment, working independently and as a member of an Integrated Product Team. It is essential the individual be capable of adapting to changing conditions and work cooperatively in a team environment.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Interfacing with work cell supervision on production schedule status and task execution

  • Interfacing with Engineering to ensure dynamic project schedules are incorporated into daily production plans

  • Manage the usage of SAP Master Data to ensure BOM (Bill of Material) accuracy

  • Inventory analysis and maintenance of program shortages

  • Prepare purchase requisition packages in support of program shortages

  • Acquisition and compilation of processing documentation and equipment

  • Prepare hardware prior to releasing to the floor for production.

  • Participation on process improvement teams.

Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required.

Experience Qualifications:

  • Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering disciplines preferred

  • At least 2-5 years of experience in Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field

  • Self-directed; strong planning and organization skills with ability to be adaptable to changing priorities and assignments

  • Manage daily tasks and come back with solid results / solutions

  • Ability to read engineering drawings

  • Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively, verbally and in writing, to individuals at all levels and to cross-functional groups

  • Knowledge of ACE and/or Lean Six Sigma is encouraged.

The Control Account Manager is responsible for the management of a $41M budget across multiple Military Production Contracts. The Manager uses cost/schedule analysis, risk identification / mitigation, and an overall understanding of fundamental project management concepts to drive business success. Primary Responsibilities: * Develops inputs to properly baseline statement of work (SOW), tracks schedule performance and budgets under his/her responsibility. Completes monthly status inputs to ensure the accuracy and validity of schedule performance and Estimate at Complete (EAC). * Documents and records delays, changes in scope, and any other issues/risks that may arise and impact the scope of work, schedule or budget. * Pursues all cost saving opportunities to maximize profitability. * Supports weekly Internal Cost and Schedule Performance Status meetings, Monthly EAC customer meetings, and weekly risk reviews. * Conduct monthly manpower analysis to ensure the program's staffing levels are accurately projected * Assists the Program with the reduction of funding overages and helps to develop a robust strategy to mitigate future funding deficiencies. * Support all F135 Proposals with a focus on Production Programs * Support process improvement initiatives identified by the Program Management Office (PMO) * Regularly interacts and interfaces with customers. Education: * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution * Master's Degree from an accredited institution * In the absence of a degree, 11 years are required.
