Production Control Specialist

I. General Summary:

Orders production parts for the Camry, Avalon, Venza, and Paccar lines. Responsible for minimum and maximum inventory levels within the plant.

Pulls customer's orders off of I-Supplier and processes them through Oracle. Responsibility includes packaging for current and new programs.

II. Essential Job Functions:

A. Orders production parts for manufacturing.

B. Processes EDI orders for Paccar and Heartland.

C. Monitors on hand inventory through cycle counts and makes adjustments when needed.

D. Monitors inventory variances through Oracle and makes adjustments when needed.

E. Processes returns and supplemental orders through Oracle.

F. Responsible for packaging for new and current programs. Inputs packaging specifications into V-PACS.

G. Inputs daily supplier conformance into the Supplier Performance Portal through Oracle.

III. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, or related field required or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Experience:

• Entry to 4 years of relevant experience in automotive parts production or production control.

Personal/Technical Skills:

• Strong organization and planning skills.

• Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of the organization.

• Ability to multitask, manage diversity, and facilitate problem solving and resolution.

• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Effective time management skills.

Language Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Computer/Software:

• ERP System experience (Oracle preferred).

• Solid working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Lotus Notes/Outlook, Internet, etc.).

IV. Work Environment/Conditions:

Office: Open Office Environment, moderate noise level.

Plant: Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level.

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etc. may be required in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply.

Travel: 0-5%

V. Physical Demands:

Ability to sit and work on a computer for extensive periods of time is required. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear.

The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time. May be occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.
