I. General Summary: Develop, standardize, audit, train and support production control systems for parts ordering and inventory management across the TBAGC plants for effective inventory control.

II. Essential Job Functions:

A. Develop, standardize and train inventory management methods across TBAGC plants

1.Gather and maintain master file of plant material and information flow (monojo).

2.Identify tools, locations, and reporting points needed to maintain clear and accurate inventory quantity tracking within TBA's inventory management system.

3.Create flow charts and procedures for system setup, receiving, material transfers, production reporting, shipping, and other inventory transactions.

4.Create and maintain the training tools and schedules to conduct training across group company plants.

5.Create/update the audit tools to check plant compliance, perform audits and provide corrective action requests and recommendations. Track and follow up closure of identified issues.

6.Conduct meetings to train and yokoten improvements and changes to standards.

B. Standardize and train parts ordering systems.

1.Create and maintain training manuals and videos for kanban and parts ordering process and systems.

2.Conduct periodic training sessions with TBAGC plant PC team members.

3.Create, maintain, and train the use of the management tools to confirm daily operations are performed as intended by the plants.

4.Perform the audits at the plants and track to closure the identified corrective actions.

5.Recommend the system improvement and changes to management and IT.

C. Daily system support of plant PC function.

1.Establish and maintain corporate and plant support processes

2.Ensure all plant Oracle issues are resolved in a timely manner.

3.Support raw material and trim cover row set part number set-up(s) in Oracle.

D. Other duties as assigned

III. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • Greater than four (4) years of relevant experience required.

  • Kanban ordering experience is preferred.

  • Experience related to any ERP system experiences, such as SCM (supply change management), WMS (warehouse management system) etc, to maximize the customer satisfaction and lowest labor workload and cost are preferred.

Personal/Technical Skills:

  • Effective time management skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Strong organization and planning skills.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to compile effective and concise visual reports.

  • Ability to train and transfer knowledge to plant PC personnel.

  • College level math skills with understanding of general business applications.

  • Ability to multitask, manage diversity, and facilitate problem solving and resolution.

  • Ability to clearly communicate and work well with TBA corporate and plant team members at all levels.

Language Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Japanese, Spanish, and/or Portuguese would be helpful.

Computer/Software:

  • Solid working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Outlook, Internet, etc.).

  • Thorough understanding and working knowledge in the support and management of Oracle Database Modules.

  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and manufacturing information systems including Oracle, kanban ordering systems, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is a plus.

IV. Work Environment/Conditions:

Office: Open Office Environment, moderate noise level.

Plant: Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etc. may be required in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply.

Travel: Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time to visit TBAGC plants.

V. Physical Demands:

Ability to sit and work on a computer for extensive periods of time is required. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time and may be occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.
