Job Summary

Provides support to the Plant Production Control Department and participates in Kaizen activities within the department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1.Populates and distributes the daily inventory sheets

2.Populates data into the overtime planning sheets

3.Conducts daily inventories of problem components and packaging

4.Makes inventory adjustments for scrap, purge, samples, balances, and negative inventories

5.Completes returnable tracking logs for customers

6.Processes all sample requests, maintains sample log, and reports on overdue samples

7.Updates stand down meeting boards with on hand inventories and shipment information

8.Maintains the number of yellow Kanban for purchased parts

9.Collects and scans all yellow Kanban

Verifies molding compound receiving report
Assists in printing, filing, and stuffing Kanban cards
Assists in cycle counting
Prints miscellaneous labels
Assists manager in departmental kaizen activities
Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

At North American Lighting

1.High School Diploma or GED

2.0 to 2 years of progressive manufacturing experience

Experience with computerized material requirements planning is preferred

3.Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:

a. Clerical and administrative skills

b. Organizational and planning skills

c. Mathematical and analytical skills

d. Problem solving and conflict resolution skills

e. Computer skills - proficiency using standard business software (including MS Office)

f. Written and verbal communications skills

g. Interpersonal skills - ability to work and function in a team environment, and to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority

VIEW JOBS > Job Summary Plans, organizes, and executes production schedules for assigned product lines to achieve maximum customer satisfaction levels and "on-time" shipments. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Develops and maintains master schedules and order releases required to support customer requirements for assigned product lines 2. Reviews machine capacity, maintenance requirements, and schedules to determine if production plans for assigned product lines are achievable 3. Monitors status of purchase parts and communicates any changes to purchasing department 4. Works with Purchasing to secure purchase parts needed to meet production schedules 5. Provides shipping dates for short lead orders based on material availability and production capacity 6. Processes engineering changes and material availability 7. Provides information for and/or prepares departmental, production, and management reports 8. Determines and maintains required Kanban card levels within the production system to meet production schedules and inventory targets 9. Coordinates and participates in cycle counts and reconciliation to ensure inventory accuracy 10. Ensures that the required levels of returnable packaging, internal containers, and racks are available for manufacturing 11. Performs other duties as assigned Requirements At North American Lighting 1. High School Diploma or GED (Associate's Degree in Business or a related discipline is preferred) 2. 2 to 4 years of progressive manufacturing experience 3. Experience with computerized material requirements planning is preferred 4. Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas: a. Knowledge and basic understanding of the use and purpose of Bill of Materials and routings b. Mathematical and analytical skills c. Problem solving and conflict resolution skills d. Organizational and planning skills e. Computer skills - proficiency using standard business software, and intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel (Access and Crystal Reports skills are preferred) f. The Production Supervisor has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day-to-day operations of the group.
