Responsibilities
Buyer Roles and Responsibilities
Review MRP output and manual demand signals to ensure supply of materials against requirements.
Partner with global teams throughout Keysight and engage with global suppliers to manage material delivery schedules to meet project schedule or production requirements.
Provide excellent verbal and written communication with global suppliers via email, teleconferences, and face to face meetings.
PO issuance and adjustment. Create, issue, and manage Purchase Orders with suppliers. Change, pull-in, push-out, and cancel Purchase Orders based on supply chain and manual demand fluctuations.
Update ERP system to ensure that it has the most recent delivery schedule and cost information.
Maintain item attributes. Update Lead-Times, MOQ's, and other part master data in the ERP system to ensure MRP runs smoothly.
AOS review. Provide daily material availability updates for Planning/Production reporting. Expedite urgent orders with suppliers based on customer needs.
Payment management. Resolve supplier payment issues by working with Finance and Suppliers for accurate invoice submissions.
Buyer must possess knowledge of MRP/ERP system, strong business sense and knowledge on supply chain, interpersonal skill and time management skill.
Qualifications
Working knowledge of MRP/ERP methodology or systems (preferably Oracle)
Strong business sense with a clear understanding of supply chain and planning fundamentals.
Proven ability to interact with cross-functional teams and deliver results.
Proven experience in buying role required.
Experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics or similar role preferred.
Analytical mind with business acumen.
Problem-solving aptitude.
Attention to detail.
Can read and follow written and verbal work instructions and communicate effectively in a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.
5-7 years of experience in strategic procurement/supply chain management. Bachelor's degree in technical discipline preferred.
California pay range: MIN $113,940.00 - - MAX $189,900.00 Year
Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region
