The Production Associate will execute end-to-end product management to achieve development milestones, margin goals and effective issue resolution. The successful candidate will be highly organized, proactive and comfortable with taking ownership of various projects; communicate effectively - with a sense of urgency when necessary - to internal and external stakeholders to deliver assignments accurately and on time. He/she will be an effective problem-solver who interacts with vendors and team members with integrity and openness as a key member of the Production team.

Responsibilities

You'll love it because you will:

  • Manage daily individual supplier relationships as it relates to:

  • Executing and delivering on all key TNA dates and development deadlines (fits, commit dates, production start dates, etc)

  • Costing and price negotiations

  • Communication and management of factory capacity planning / forecasting / seasonal projections

  • Review and challenge WIP reports

  • Review product QA inspection and TOP test reports; Review/resolve issues

  • Resolve vendor disputes claims, RTV, fabric and trim liabilities

  • Onboard new vendors to Spanx requirements at each stage of development, production, packing and shipping

  • Facilitate Vendor Set Up information: NDA, Manufacturing Agreement and Shipping & Logistics Guide

  • Manage factory compliance audits through Third Party Provider; Address CAP where needed

  • Partner cross functionally with Development team (PD, Design, Tech Design, Merchandising) to achieve product development milestones, margin goals, and to resolve issues as they arise

  • Work closely with Inventory Planning on purchase order entry and updates as it relates to costing and ship date changes

Qualifications

You'll be a contender if you have:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in apparel production or product development

  • Basic understanding of product development and production processes

  • Working knowledge of retail math

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel

  • Strong attention to detail and follow through

  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks

  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally

  • A Bachelor's Degree

Bachelor's degree in discipline related field with 4+ yrs. of experience Possesses a strong portfolio of well-produced work Retail, agency or in-house corporate creative production experience preferred Must be highly proficient in industry standard design software (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Quark and MS Office) and other applicable programs on Macintosh platform.
