Job Summary
This position is in the manufacturing area, which produces long fiber materials. This position is primarily responsible for performing production and packaging duties within the production department. Ensures the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost and meets customer specifications and delivery requirements in accordance with Avient policies and procedures.
Essential Functions
Obtains the correct documentation and materials for the production run.
Sets up and starts any production or packaging machinery, checking all controls for adherence to operating/safety procedures.
Notifies appropriate personnel of any issues, problems or concerns in a timely manner.
Safely and neatly processes, packages and/or skid material to correct size/container according to customer specifications.
Performs all required machine cleaning.
Completes and maintains required paperwork and/or documents.
Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED Completed
Experience-Cross Functional Problem Solving Techniques
1 Year Certifications-Manufacturing
Fork Lift Operators License Completed
Experience- Plastics Manufacturing (0-2 years)
Industrial Operations
1 Year Personal Skills
Quantitative Skills Intermediate
Conflict Resolution Skills Intermediate

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; use hands to finger, grip, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and/or hear.
Occasionally required to sit.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses and shoes, dust mask, face shield, hearing protection, uniforms, gloves, etc.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with the exception of high noise areas.
Proper personal safety equipment needs to be used while performing this job and that equipment is dictated by the plant safety guidelines.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to hot conditions, dust, fumes.
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
