Production Associate- 2Nd Shift

Job Summary

Avient is seeking a 2nd shift Production Associate for its Minneapolis, MN. location. The Production Associate will work from verbal/written instructions for the operation of running an extruder line. The Production Associate operates as a team player to assist in meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

Pay: $20 - $27 plus (based on experience)

Hours:

2nd shift

3:00pm - 11:30pm

$1.00 shift premium.

Essential Functions

• Running an extruder line; including set up & quality checks

• Seal, stencil and/or label containers of finished product and move to designated area

• 5S Cleanliness of work area

• Ensure participation and cooperation in company implemented Environmental Health & Safety programs.

• Follow all safety rules.

• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• High School or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent, and one year related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Basic mathematical skills

• Accuracy and attention to detail

Physical Demands

• Requires standing and sitting for extended periods of time, talking and listening.

• Must be able to walk and use hands. Occasionally requires bending, stooping, climbing ladders and stairs.

• May occasionally be required to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.

• Typically work is in a manufacturing environment where noise level is loud.

• Generally requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, hard hat, respiratory protection.

• Exposure to outside weather conditions is routine.

• May be exposed to working in extreme heat and humidity.

• May also be exposed on occasion to dust or fumes.
