This position supports the Marketing Department overall with general administrative functions and assists with inputting projects in our Workfront project management system. In addition, the position supports the Production team with reporting, tracking, proofreading, verifying website links, data entry in multiple inventory control systems, as well as document and presentation development using Microsoft Office and Adobe programs. The Production Assistant will also be responsible for managing invoices and assisting with coordination of our special events items and service awards programs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Workfront updates

  • Distribute department mail and order office supplies

  • Proofreading

  • Update and test website links

  • Weekly Leaderboard publication updates

  • Track lead responses

  • Update and maintain LNL IC Inventory Control System and Master List of Forms

  • Assist with updates and maintenance for online Supply Order system database

  • Coding, scanning and logging invoices

  • Assist with updating Memos on Agent websites and home office distribution

  • Process updates and handle inquiries related to service award program

  • Assist with invoicing, mailing and shipping specialty items

  • Other tasks as assigned

Required Skills

  • Candidate must have strong proofreading skills and strong attention to detail

  • Must be flexible and able to switch focus to different projects when business demands change

  • Excellent time management and an ability to self-prioritize multiple assignments

  • Strong follow up and the ability to autonomously execute projects from conception to completion

  • Candidate should also have a good understanding of MS Word, Excel and an emphasis on PowerPoint

  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines and on multiple projects

  • Be neat, precise, accountable, and highly organized

  • Possess a service-minded attitude

Physical Requirements:
Fast-paced environment. Occasionally bend/stoop, crouch, kneel and push/pull. Frequently climbs and rarely reaches above shoulder level. Occasionally lifts up to 10 pounds waist to overhead and floor to waist. Occasionally carries and pushes up to 10 pounds.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent corporate office experience.

VIEW JOBS 3/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-16T00:00 Position Summary The Production Lead - Fabrication provides on-the-floor first line leadership to production personnel. Support team members in order to achieve safety, quality and production goals through effective leadership and communication. This includes the coordination of work through several operations (NC Punch, press brake, weld, powder coat, and assembly) while maintaining a 48 hour turn around on all customer orders. The Production Lead - Fabrication is also responsible for hiring, training, addressing employee concerns, and conducting performance appraisals. The position reports to the department supervisor. This position will be required to work rotating shifts (days/nights). Day shift is Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm. Night shift is Monday - Thursday 2:30pm - 1:00am. These schedules are subject to change depending on demands of the department. Responsibilities 40% of the time you will: ensure that the production schedule is followed and direct operations accordingly in order to satisfy the needs of our customers. 40% of the time you will: while performing supervisory responsibilities required the employee must represent the Company in the utmost professional manner and in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and applicable laws; especially when addressing complaints, resolving problems, and all other supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees. 10% of the time you will: operate equipment as necessary in order to satisfy production demands and needs of the department including forklift, reach truck and pallet jack. Provide training in proper procedures to team members. Assist employees with set-ups and troubleshooting as necessary. 10% of the time you will: perform quality checks per procedures and post completed Work Orders, ensuring that correct materials, components, quantities, and identification are noted before closing. Qualifications * One year certificate from college or technical school; or related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience required * Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification (will certify at hire) required * 1 year related manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and training * 1 year managing others * Safety: Consistently exemplify the highest of safety standards and monitor others to the same standards. * Attendance: Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance. * Mathematical Reasoning: Able to apply basic algebraic and geometric concepts. Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimal equivalents. * Reading Comprehension: Able to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and related correspondence. * Writing: Able to write work procedures and instructions, routine reports, and safety bulletins. * Technical: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Simpson computer applications. * Problem Solving: Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. * Analysis/Reasoning: Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. * Speaking: Able to effectively communicate in group settings and one-on-one, with all departments and at all levels within the organization. * Leadership: Proven ability to effectively lead by motivating, coaching and mentoring team members. Ability to prioritize work and champion change. Willing to compassionately hold others accountable and to be held accountable. * Measurements: Able to read a tape measure to 1/32" tolerance and to use combination squares to measure angles to +/- 1 degree, micrometers, calipers. * Tools: Hand and power tools as well as powered industrial equipment.
