Broad Function

Perform a variety of operational functions that constitute the production, inspection, testing and packaging of products for commercial customers.

Principal Responsibilities1.Performs assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures with minimal to moderate supervision. 2.Adheres to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned to this position in accordance with the company policies, procedures, and work instructions. Works independently. Utilizes common hand tools, and some power tools to assemble systems and sub-assemblies. Performs required testing. Trouble shoots production problems.3.Refers to work orders, work instructions, assembly travelers and forms appropriate for each job, function or assignment.4.Certified and proficient on complex tasks.5.Performs new tasks utilizing work instructions of moderate difficulty with minimal training.6.Maintains clean work areas.7.Suggests and works toward area improvements.8.Performs all work assigned in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements.9.Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time, depending on the degree of difficulty of their job functions.10.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.11.Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Q/A, and Production Manager12.Ability to lift over forty pounds.13.Ensuring that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with BTG values.14.Carry out other reasonable tasks as required by the Line Manager.

  • Accountable to: Manager, Production

  • Responsible for: N/A

  • Internal: Interactions with Operations, QA & Engineering departments

  • External: N/A

Education and Experience

  • 3-5 years of applicable experience.

  • Knowledge and demonstration of hand tools, power tools and their use

  • Keyboard use and basic typing

  • General computer use but not limited to, accessing documents, performing searches, and data entry. May develop new forms for production use.

  • Knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Skills and Attributes

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively, with peers and manager. Requires minimal direction.

  • Motivated self-directed individual who takes initiative and routinely advises leadership on line improvements and current issues.

  • Ability to follow work rules, be flexible and be willing to perform a variety of jobs.

  • Understands how the Quality System supports production; Identify and communicate quality and safety improvement opportunities; Supports the training of others on the Quality System.

  • Works as part of a team to reach common goals.

  • Encourages a positive spirit within the team.

  • Ability to provide training to other employees.
