Position Summary

We are seeking an advisor that can provide leadership and technical expertise to our production and operations teams. This position will report to a regional GM and be accountable for helping with day to day execution on the production line and in the fulfillment of customer orders. As the site ramps up production rates and expands into new product lines, this position will help troubleshoot any technical issues on the production floor and work to resolve any issues that arise.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and document investigations related to product quality complaints and defects to include root cause analysis and corrective action planning in collaboration with the Procurement and Category Management teams across the FBN portfolio.

  • Investigate atypical test results as necessary from on site production and independent testing of third party production as necessary, utilizing third party testing and in house equipment.

  • Establish and meet production KPIs and metrics related to the performance and efficiency of the production asset in Olive Branch, MS.

  • Responsible for the continuous balancing and rebalancing of staff & equipment resources to ensure production output meets or exceeds the requirements of the supply plan and attainment is being met.

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining capacity planning assumptions in conjunction with procurement, planning, manufacturing operations, logistics/warehousing and commercial teams, including yield, line capacity, scrap rates, and holiday planning.

  • Work closely with Supply Planner to ensure adequate and timely raw materials coverage for the production schedule including communication of materials consumption/inventory reporting to the Supply Planner & finished goods production output to the Production Manager.

  • Lead the changeover process, scheduled maintenance, and other proactive tasks to insure the integrity of the equipment for the production line.

  • Establish and ensure execution of system clean out procedure when transitioning from one product to another on production line to prevent contamination

  • Complete physical inventory counts and reconciliations on a regular basis or as requested by management

  • Implement, maintain and continue to improve site safety, quality and culture through active upkeep and implementation of 5S standards and other Lean applications.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of continuous improvement processes and key performance indicators across the network.

  • Ensure that inventory is handled and recorded in line with all hazardous material, MSDS and manufacturer specifications.

  • Inspect and maintain facilities partnering with corporate facilities management as appropriate.

  • Partner with Capacity planning in the efficient usage of storage space and the development of labor models for dictating staffing needs.

  • Partner with Transportation to ensure timely shipping and receiving of orders and inventory.

  • Manage operations in line with all supporting systems (WMS, TMS and ERP) to ensure virtual/physical alignment.

  • A successful candidate will have the experience to help guide the operation through formal policy and procedure creation, but will be able to roll up their sleeves and develop many elements of this in collaboration with other teams or at times, as a sole contributor.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance or related field preferred
  • 4 years of experience in Contract Logistics / 3PL / Distribution Center / Warehousing /Manufacturing environment in a leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Hazardous Material Handling and/or professional Supply Chain organizations.

  • Lean Management, Six Sigma Training or other Supply Chain Certifications (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD).

The following represents FBN's reasonable estimate of the US national average base salary range for this role based on market data and placement of internal employees: $135,000-$165,000. This salary range may vary based on geography and the higher cost of labor in some metropolitan areas.
