Maintain Daily Rates for planning purposes. This includes both production and setup values.
Insure that schedules are not under or over loaded in comparison to existing manned and equipment capacities
Develop alternatives to overcome capacity constraints to improve customer delivery.
Develop the weekly production commitment. Coordinate and negotiate with Material Resource Management (MRP) to insure consistent schedule loads to meet customer demands.
Develop weekend work schedules outlining those areas that require overtime as well as reduced work schedules.
Develop the detailed manufacturing plan along with insuring raw material availability (tubing/forgings/wire).
Recommend and implement alternative solutions to meeting customer commitments when the primary processes fail, components or raw materials are not delivered on a timely basis, or other necessary resources are unavailable.
Adjust process schedules as necessary to insure they do not create a bottleneck on one extreme or "outrun" component logistics on the other hand.
Insure high levels of Schedule Accomplishment (Goal=100%) for the process area. Minimize total customer Past Due as a result.
Coordinate the scheduling of "A" level promises from customers.
Coordinate the balancing of existing schedules in consideration of Direct Ship Customers and intercept shipments.
Coordinate the introduction of new part numbers into existing scheduling routines.
Systems Administration and Project Work
Develop and maintain ISO/QS 9000 procedures for contract review.
Responsible for insuring that MRP maintenance is conducted in a timely and accurate manner.
Act as a liaison in communications of scheduling and planning issues between Corporate Order Fulfillment and the Gaffney Bearing Plant.
Insure Production Control activities are carried out with the most effective solutions possible. This requires a high degree of familiarity with existing processes.
Take a lead position for the plant in implementing new production control methodologies.
Perform special analysis in order to recommend ways to improve plant performance and customer satisfaction.
Bachelors Degree/Associates Degree in business, engineering or other relation field with 2+ years of manufacturing experience
15+ years of manufacturing experience
Problem Solving Skills
Computer Skills - Microsoft Office and SAP
Experience in working in cross functional teams
