In this role, you willserve as a primary field contact for corn seed production which includes:grower management and support (acreage planning, quality control, contractingetc.), aiding seed growers in agronomic decisions, and executing on productionplans in your assigned area. We are seeking an educated candidate who hasknowledge of current agronomic practices and has a good base in customerrelations.

Responsibilities includebut are not limited to:

  • Implement plan in areas assigned by the Field Operations Manager or Production Location Manager.

  • Responsible for monitoring plant expenditures as assigned.

  • Work with Operations Manager to set field worker schedules.

  • Maintain grower evaluation program which effectively and fairly measures grower productivity.

  • Add and drop growers based on grower evaluation and performance.

  • Champion multiple safety programs and strongly support the growth and maintenance of Corteva Agriscience safety efforts.

  • Implement and maintainquality standards.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Agronomy or Ag field)

  • 3-5 Ag related experience/background

  • Driver's License

  • Basic knowledge of field equipment

  • Good verbal communication skills ability to work with diverse groups of people

  • Microsoft Office Experience (specifically excel)

  • Willingness to work in a variety of conditions (field, plant, warehouse - hot, cold, dust, etc.)

  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations

  • Ability to work autonomously

The following arepreferred:

  • Experience working with seed growers

  • Knowledge of production agriculture and production plant operations

  • Leadership/supervisory experience

  • SAP experience

  • Mapping software GIS experience
