The Role

The Training Content Developer will be responsible for the creation of product training materials (presentation content, graphics, labs, trainer delivery notes, job aids, and assessment questions) that enable customers, partners, and employees to effectively use, administer, and configure Veeva products.

What You'll Do

  • Work under the direction of the curriculum manager and assigned Subject Matter Experts to shape role based, training materials.

  • Given course objectives, product use cases, and technical resources (product documentation, presentations, and videos), create immersive, learner centric courses that achieve the stated objectives.

  • Work both independently and cross-functionally with subject matter experts to shape effective instructional content using realistic business examples and appropriate hands on activities.

  • Reverse engineer internal content (presentations, webinars, documentation) into instructional content.

  • Create validation activities to measure learning attainment of course objectives.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical Communications, English, Education, Computer Science, Instructional Design or equivalent. A Master's Degree in Instructional Design or a related field is desirable.

  • 3 - 5 years experience designing and developing software related courses

  • Excellent analytical and writing skills with a demonstrated aptitude for creating instructional content for both a technical audience and a business user audience.

  • Flexible, collaborative, team-oriented individual who shows initiative and holds themselves accountable.

  • Detail oriented

This position works directly with business related departments to gather business requirements and insights into data. The BI-Developer- Contractor would use an agile and UX/UI approach to BI development. Responsibilities include documentation of business requirements, translation of business requirements to data models, development of BI reports, and documentation of product requirements. This Business Intelligence Developer- Contractor position is structured under the business facing portion of the Project Technology Services team. A Business Intelligence Developer- Contractor would communicate business needs and data requirements to a Data Architect and provide guidance in curating this data. Requirements include data modeling, big data analytics, using Power Query or DAX to convert business logic and analytics to measures, and visualize data to provide insights into the business. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop Enterprise dashboards and reports * Coordinate development of Business Intelligence products with cloud data team and departments * Analyzing product, market, and share trends to build warehouse data * Translating business needs into technical specifications * Developing reporting systems that provide accessible information for decision making * Using warehouse data to generate reports to support business decision making and business performance monitoring * Maintaining data analytics platforms * Evaluating and improving existing BI systems * Conducting troubleshooting on BI models * Generating and delivering quality reports to customers and performing quality assurance checks on reports * Define BI Practices and Patterns * Define and document BI product requirements (user stories, goals, KPIs, metrics) * Document data models Requirements REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business. * 3+ years experience in analytics, reporting, or business intelligence * 2 years experience in Power BI Desktop * 2 years experience in Power BI Service * 2 years experience in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) * 2 years experience in Power Query/ M-Code PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience in Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, or other BI software * Experience in coding languages primarily Python, R, SQL * Familiarity with USQL and Azure Data Factory * Experience in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) * Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining * Experience in star schema data modeling * Strong Excel skills including VBA, Power Query, Pivot Charts, Pivot Tables * Understanding of Agile development * Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), NoSQL * Experience with BEAM or other Agile/BI reporting processes * Strong technical communication skills and presenting skills * Strong technical writing skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS Required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, and other emerging communication technologies.
