Job Information

The Product Trainer (National Accounts) is responsible for using industry and product knowledge, along with a proficiency in adult education to develop and deliver learning solutions that enable the success of Bobcat's dealers. A key responsibility is to facilitate training classes for dealer sales specialists on specific products using in-person, virtual, and hybrid delivery methods. This position will act as an internal product expert to combine multiple perspectives into holistic and innovative learning solutions that maximize the impact to the business.

Role & Responsibility

• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SME's) and other trainers to conduct hands-on training at corporate or customer sites.

• Effectively deliver all types of product training, including, but not limited to, competitive comparison training, National Accounts preventive maintenance training, operator training, and sales specialist on-boarding training.

• Successfully lead interactive and engaging virtual events that enable National Account service technicians to be more effective in their jobs.

• Facilitate instructor-led training (ILT) classes to multiple levels of customers, including implementing pre- and post-training communications and activities, and managing class logistics.

• Manage subject matter experts and stakeholder relationships to clearly identify, extract, and synthesize complex technical material into high quality, effective learning content that drives desired outcomes.

• Collaborate with instructional designers, training specialists, training managers, and product management to define and develop learning using the 4X8 Proficiency Design Model, ADDIE, LTEM, and other proven product design models for an external, channel audience.

• Generate and visually present metrics and analytics to prove the need for and defend the effectiveness of learning programs.

• Professionally represent Bobcat at product demonstrations, dealer open houses, field training sessions, trade shows and fairs, and other events.

• Provide timely and accurate answers to product questions and needs.

Job Requirement

• Education required: Bachelor's degree or significant experience in lieu of degree required.

• Experience required: Minimum of 2 years in technical training or technical sales training.

• A background/aptitude in agricultural, construction or industrial motorized, mobile equipment.

• Aptitude in technical and mechanical basics.

• Ability to facilitate engaging and experiential learning programs.

• Ability to command respect of students and diverse audiences through verbal and written skills.

• Ability to work well with subject matter experts to develop industry leading online and in-person training content.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Travel required: 50-75%.
