PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Under the general direction of the Refined Fuels Supply and Trading Manager, is responsible for implementing supply/trading strategies, market analysis and risk management strategies for assigned pipeline/terminal markets, as well as research, analyze, and implements new market expansion opportunities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Coordinate, communicate and implement successful supply and trading strategies for assigned pipelines and terminals, ensuring wholesale rack and forward contract supply needs, as well as enhancing Energy Division profitability through successful position risk management, supply management, forward contract management, and trading strategies.

Maintains existing relationships, and develops new professional working relationships with brokers, traders, vendors/suppliers and pipeline operators, as well as research/implements supply and trading strategies/processes and market profile analysis for new market expansion.

Evaluates, negotiates and implements least cost refined fuels procurement strategies, while maintaining and enhancing the Energy Division margin and sales volume expectations. Investigates, and recommends better methods of purchasing and marketing of refined and renewable fuels.

Analyze, communicate and implement purchasing and risk management strategies to be offered as forward contracting for GROWMARK member and non-member customers, ensuring a competitive and profitable liquid forward contract offering. Manage and maintains the daily liquid forward contract offering for all market zones.

Analyze, evaluate and communicate monthly/quarterly/annual refined fuels pipeline and terminal supply/trading needs, through regular forecasting and nomination processes, ensuring that Energy Division meets or exceeds its annual budgeted sales and income goals for all inventory locations.

Regularly communicates marketplace & supply developments, issues, and opportunities to Management and members of the Energy Supply team.

Collaborate with Inventory Pricing Manager on rack pricing strategies for all GROWMARK inventory locations, maximizing the Energy Division's refined fuel margins and volume goals.

Communicate daily with Inventory Pricing Manager on product lifting updates, daily forecast and marketplace developments for all pipeline and terminal locations.

Maintains and implements RIN trading strategies that adheres to GROWAMRK's accounting and hedge policies and maintains and enhances professional relationships with RIN industry affiliates, traders and brokers.

Provides leadership, direction, and skill enhancement to Associate Refined Fuels Product Trader as it relates to business knowledge and project management, as well a mentoring role to Associate Refined Fuels Product Trader.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Maintains proper controls and approved reporting methods for risk management and trading activities.

Maintains a strict adherence to the GROWMARK Energy hedging policy.

Maintains a database of fundamental and technical market information to support hedging and trading activities.

Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a 4-year college degree in a business-related field or equivalent, and 3 or more years of related commodity & trading experience and a demonstrated ability to provide energy risk management and market analysis leadership to the GROWMARK System.

Understanding and experience with energy-related areas including energy cash and futures markets, petroleum refining, pipeline operations and product distribution; marketing strategy, forecasting, competitive adeptness, price strategy, policies and procedures, and compliance along with energy planning, program execution, budgeting, and communications.

Must be registered with the NFA as an AP or the ability to pass the Series-3 exam within a year and maintain this license as an AP with the NFA.

Prefer experience with commodity hedging and NYMEX trading.

Proven professional communication, interpersonal, persuasion, and customer service skills.

Demonstrated planning, organization, problem-solving, analytical, evaluation, and project management skills.

Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Proven computer skills and the ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and have the ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
