Company Description
Lightwave Logic (Nasdaq: LWLG) is a publicly traded technology company located at the foothills of the beautiful Rocky Mountains. LWLG is doing exciting work commercializing its proprietary organic nonlinear polymers for a variety of electro-optic devices, with primary applications in high-speed fiber-optic telecom and data communications. Our development roadmap is geared to disrupt the industry by introducing organic modulators and related photonic integrated circuits that have superior speed, lower power consumption, and smaller size than present inorganic devices. Our materials and devices are extendable into other applications, including sensors and instrumentation.
We are seeking a Product Test Engineer to work with the reliability team in Englewood, CO. As a member of a growing team of product and test engineers working in a fast paced, collaborative environment, the successful candidate will work in multi-disciplinary team of electro-optic test engineers, optical designs, chemists and reliability engineers.
The work responsibility will include fabricating polymer thin-films, setting up optical test benches (scopes, power meters, photodetectors), performing stress testing (thermal aging, humidity testing, temperature cycling, high optical power testing), and data analysis. The work will also include learning to use new test techniques such as measuring absorption spectra and measuring non-linear optical properties of polymers.
A strong background in research and development, hands-on laboratory work operating complex scientific instruments, and experience with optical alignment are strongly desired skills.
