gTech's Product and Tools Operations team (gPTO) leverages deep user, operational, and technical insights to innovate Google's Ads products into customer experiences that are so intuitive (or automated) that they require no support at all. gPTO partners closely with gTech's Support, Professional Services, Product Management, and Engineering teams to innovate and simplify our Ads products and build the productivity tools ecosystem for gTech users.

As a Product Technology Manager Lead, you will manage a team that is the interface between technical support and consulting with various stakeholders. From design and conceptualization to wide-scale deployment, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google advertising, analytics and platform products. You will develop product and technical strategy as well as prioritize projects to assist our account management teams and partners. Product Technology Managers are focused on improving products through evaluating product readiness, identifying gaps, and consolidating feedback.

You will be responsible for coordinating our Product Excellence and Serviceability efforts in conjunction with the technical support and consulting teams and other stakeholders. You will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google online advertising and platform products. You will work on developing product and technical strategy as well as prioritize projects and resources that assist our account management teams and partners. You're able to balance business and customer needs with technical constraints. Entrepreneurial and detail-oriented, you are motivated by bringing the right Google products and technologies to market and to our customers.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience managing people and leading technical teams.

  • Experience working with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and HTTP.

  • Experience with systems design and coding in a general purpose programming language (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Customer-facing experience translating technical concepts and solutions to non-technical and executive audiences.

  • Ability to collaborate, build consensus, deliver, and drive technical decisions with various sized customer stakeholder groups.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of SQL/MySQL, and Unix/Linux operating systems and commands.

  • Strong technical leadership, project management, analytical problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Manage a team of Product Technology Managers and Product Operations Managers.

  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams.

  • Design effective launch programs with partners to ensure that new products and feature releases are tested before wide-scale deployment.

  • Perform implementation reviews, advocate new product features, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.

  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate with internal teams and external consumers, advertisers, and publishers to provide technical and business feedback as well as deliver technical solutions

Minimum qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. * 5 years of experience in program management, product commercialization or sales strategy and operations. * Experience with Internet technologies, such as SQL, HTTP, JavaScript, HTML, Cookies, XML, etc. Preferred qualifications: * MBA or Master's degree. * 8 years of hands-on experience in Internet products and technologies. * Track record in roles working directly with customer service and development teams. * Knowledge of publisher, advertising market or online ads landscape. * Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders. Excellent relationship building, collaboration, negotiation and communication skills. * Exceptional project management, analytical, influencing and problem-solving skills. * Design effective launch programs to ensure that new products and feature releases are usable and serviceable before broad-scale deployment. * Execute betas to ensure products are ready for customer support and implementation. * Scale requirements for advertiser and publisher integrations by providing necessary documentation. * Collect, compile and prioritize product feedback and feature requests from gTech teams. * Help advocate for corresponding necessary product improvements with Product Management and Engineering teams.
