Wagner Equipment Co., your Caterpillar dealer for Colorado, New Mexico and Far west Texas is looking for a Product Support Manager in Aurora.

The Power Systems Product Support Manager provides leadership to the Product Support Sales Reps (PSSR) and Large Engine Rebuild Specialist to grow Wagner parts and service business in all Power Systems markets-electric power, industrial, and oil & gas. Works closely with Caterpillar and Wagner Branch Managers to assure Wagner is aligned with Caterpillar and is achieving desired business results.



  • Processes monthly commissions for team

  • Assures monthly reports are created and updated as needed (3500/3600 quoting/won/lost, Div E parts and service sales, Fleet Customer parts sales, etc).

  • Maintains list of customer discounts versus volume of business and assures Wagner business systems are appropriately updated.


  • Works with Technical Communicators to assure Power Systems product issues are resolved with customers and communicated to CAT.

  • Assures Power Systems service letters are completed across our territory.

  • Works closely with Branch Managers to assure branch based PSSRs are effective and engaged with their local branch.

  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with all CAT Reps covering Power Systems business and customer as appropriate

  • Major influencer in deciding which branch should perform Power Systems rebuilds.

  • Work with Service Managers to assure Wagner has a number of 3600 CAT certified commissioning engineers and they retain their certification

  • Works with branches on Power Systems parts stocking and CPRO order issues

  • Works with Wagner Training Institute to assure Power Systems training content is available to support continued technician development.

  • Promote Wagner's Gas 1 and Gas 2 certified training


  • Works with CAT reps to influence and achieve E&T parts, service, CVA, connectivity sales objectives

  • Works with CAT and Wagner Branch Managers to define targeted marketing campaigns

  • Leads PSSR team to develop and add new customers

  • Leads effort to grow 3500 and 3600 rebuild business.


  • Have a working knowledge of CAT product / technology used in the Power Systems industries


  • Performs all required supervisory duties for his team

  • Assures team receives annual training to increase job skills and performance

  • Assures team is fully utilizing CRM system (activities, opportunities, engine population, etc)

  • Leads team in embracing the Wagner safety culture


Minimum Education Required:

High School Diplomr or GED / College degree preferred

Minimum Experience Required: Eight years in power generation related positions with demonstrated leadership skills

Experience Defined: Basic (1-3 yrs) Intermediate (3 - 5 yrs) Advanced (5+ yrs)

3-5 Years :

Administrative / Clerical Experience; Technical or Mechanical (Machine Service/Maint)

5+ Years:

Customer Service Experience; Sales Experience; Supervisory/Mgmt Experience
