Job Title: Product Support

Job Description:
Is responsibility of the position to assist Konecranes dealers and Konecranes Key Account Customers in order to develop, support and control de BU Lifttrucks Service and Product Support in North America for all Konecranes Lift trucks product lines.

Focus on customer satisfaction and on Konecranes machines quality, in order to promote further business of new equipment and parts on a profitability manner.

Work Assignments:

  • Develop the dealers network by:

o Teaching on the process of carrying out Assembly and Commissioning of new Konecranes Lift Trucks Products. Coordinate / execute the assembly and commissioning process in areas where there are no dealers.

o Verify that the product match current specification and quality.

o Supervising and trouble shooting in field as well as over phone and email.

o Giving theoretical class room and practical hands on technical training for customers and dealers.

o Visiting customers/dealers to give technical advice and support the product in order to point out / generate business opportunities.

  • Reporting of non-conformities and technical issues on a clear standardized manner.

  • Ensure that Konecranes Warranty Policy is correctly interpret and processed.

  • Support the sales force with any technical requirement or non-conformity by customers / dealers.

Authority:

  • Ensure that Konecranes warranty policy of Konecranes Lifttrucks is properly applied.

  • Contribute with suggestions on developments of service against new demands, profitability criterias, as well as on-going improvement on quality.

  • Take decisions about service measurements in the field.

  • Plan travels to and from customer / dealers for Product Support.

Requirements:

  • Availability to travel frequently.

  • Good skill on PC use.

  • Experience on Machinery Aftersales support or similar industries; so to have a good Technical background (knowledge on hydraulic and electrical systems, engines and transmissions, spare parts manuals, etc.).

  • Spanish & English speaking.

VIEW JOBS 8/8/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-06T00:00 Description The Cat Oil & Gas and Marine Division has an exciting opportunity for a Product Support Specialist Representative. Preferably, this position will be located in Houston, Texas. But it could also be located in Panama City, Florida, Mexico City or Panama. As a Product Support Specialist Representative, the incumbent manages marine product support activities including continuous improvement of Americas South dealer service capability, managing customer issues and product health reporting. In addition, he/she will coordinate the activities for dealer development to ensure continued success of the Caterpillar (commercial applications and pleasure craft applications), MaK Marine and Cat medium speed generator set products in the assigned Americas South territories. Customer relationship building, service training, systems set-up, second level network development will all contribute to increase marine parts, service, customer support agreements activity on products and services and advanced offerings sales. This position also manages goodwill budget that is used to protect future engine sales and to support customers when fair value of our product was not received. As with any customer-focused position, successful conflict management plays a large role in this position. Job Duties include but are not limited to: * Liaise among dealers, end customers and other Caterpillar personnel and divisions. * Accountable for identification, analysis and resolution of needs and problems (technical and commercial) in assigned discipline/district. * Develop and meet expectations; deliver results, identify and recommend alternative courses of actions, make timely decisions and develop greater communication skills. * Analyze and communicate marketplace and competitive activity as well as identification of Caterpillar systems advantages and shortcomings to Caterpillar and dealer personnel. * Consult on existing and potential customer equipment management solutions with a focus on the fleet management value stream and specific customer issues. * Advise on and recommend ways to enhance customer loyalty. * Promote programs that increase sales and maximize price realization and profit margins. * Identify and support rollout of new products * Assist dealers in business planning and on effectiveness of meeting expected business results. * Recommend ways to enhance customer satisfaction through training, financial/insurance services, customer support agreements, PIP completion, etc. * Consult with dealers on process improvement methods and assist with process evaluation. * Understand and keep current on customer/dealer market and needs and understand how and why decisions are made within their work group and organization. * Stay abreast of industry and technology changes and relate those changes to Caterpillar, dealer and customer needs Qualifications Basic Requirements: * College or University degree * Work experience with diesel and/or gas engines in commercial and technical field. * 3+ years of experience in field assignments and have demonstrated the ability to work independently, to communicate effectively and to influence others in the work group, dealer personnel and customers * Demonstrated ability to work on larger scale, more complex assignments and provide direction to lower level reps on project assignments. * Good MS Office skills * Very good knowledge of spoken and written English * Very good knowledge of spoken and written Spanish Top Candidates will also have: * Must have ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures. * Familiar with company policies and procedures. * Previous marine industry product support experience. * Previous power plants product support experience Relocation assistance is available for this position.
