POSITION SUMMARY

Supports creating and deploys winning Medicaid product strategies and manages product portfolio to increase and retain Aetna membership. Conducts qualitative and quantitative analysis on product performance, competitive position, product innovation, and product development.

Position Description

  • Create and deploy winning Medicaid product strategies and designs local solutions to increase members and improve member outcomes

  • Partners with stakeholders across the organization to understand drivers of unique market needs

review national and local trends, and recommend solutions suited to the needs of local health plans and their communities

  • As part of the Medicaid R&D team, leverage knowledge of Aetna's products, regulatory requirements, and member needs to help build competitive solutions for health plans

Create and deploy winning Medicaid product strategies and designs local solutions to increase members and improve member outcomes

  • Provide strategic and analytical support to health plan leadership to evaluate product performance and design solutions tailored their needs

  • Maintain strong understanding of Aetna/business unit strategy, customers, healthcare, and regulatory environment. Understand/interpret mandates

  • Build and lead collaborative cross-functional teams focused on product analysis, design, and i Collect, analyze, and interpret information on customer trends, competitor moves, and product performance

  • Generate unique and actionable insights to drive strategy

  • Understand key drivers of product performance including holistic, integrative view of all other functions, i.e. pricing, sales, distribution, quoting, marketing, as well as other markets/segments, and Aetna business processes

  • Articulate strategy in compelling manner customized for different stakeholders including laying out facts / data in easily digestible format and drawing clear conclusions

  • Leverage verbal and written communication to obtain buy-in from critical partners including prioritization and funding

  • Provide input and thought leadership into broader strategy work

  • Work effectively across business areas by building and leveraging strong relationships

  • Identify cross-functional support required to achieve business objectives, including areas of tactical and strategic support

  • Lead and support team in multiple competing products/projects with effective prioritization and eye for detail

  • Take full accountability for end result, serve as product expert, and leverage all resources available to achieve objectives implementation

Background/Experience Desired:

  • Professional with 5+ years related work experience

  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach to problem solving and process improvement

  • 3+ years of Medicaid health care experience

Education and Certification

Requirements:
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience

Additional Information (situational competencies, skills, work location requirements, etc.):

  • Experience leading cross functional project management initiatives

  • In-depth understanding of the regulatory environment

  • Advanced communication/presentation skills

  • Requires ability to be innovative and resourceful in developing solutions

  • Prefer Phoenix based candidates. Will consider relocation assistance package. Otherwise Work at home with 25-40% to Phoenix travel required.

Aviation Communication & Surveillance Systems (ACSS), an L-3 Communications and Thales Company, is a leader in safety avionics systems that increase safety, situational awareness and efficiency for aircraft operators in all phases of flight. ACSS products are operating in commercial, corporate and military aircraft. ACSS is a division of L-3 Aviation Products (L-3 AP). L-3 AP is a leading provider of commercial and military avionics with unsurpassed performance, quality and customer support.
