About the Role

We are seeking a Product Specialist to join our dynamic team. The role is crucial to ensuring that our Legal customers experience a seamless and successful introduction to Thomson Reuters products. The Product Specialist will be the primary point of contact for new and existing specialty product customers, guiding them through product setup and ensuring that they understand how to utilize Thomson Reuters technology to its fullest potential, in accordance with their specific legal use cases.

The Product Specialist develops expert level knowledge in a Thomson Reuters specialty product and uses this expertise to support strategic presale demonstrations and deliver complex trainings. The Product Specialist will support solutions including forms, legal analytics, and legal research. We are looking for candidates who are adaptable and willing to work with other solutions as new products release and business needs change.

You'll leverage your legal expertise in these products to provide effective pre-sale and post-sale support, deliver needs-based training, and guide customers in integrating the products into their workflows. Your success will be measured by customer satisfaction and product adoption.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Support customers at all points in the customer lifecycle including pre-sale, rollouts, and mid-contract upgrades.

  • Assist customers in optimizing their product setup for the quickest path to success.

  • Understand customer goals and provide product information to best serve those goals.

  • Drive product adoption and revenue retention through needs-based training and guidance.

  • Design trainings targeted to the user workflow, suggesting best practices and additional use cases.

  • Respond to incoming customer requests in a timely and effective manner.

  • Stay up to date with product releases, use cases, and industry activity to ensure accurate and current guidance.

  • Collaborate with internal Product Development, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure accurate and current guidance.

  • Meet or exceed designated activity goals while driving revenue growth of assigned products.

  • Work with the Customer Education team to set up automated outreach and create helpful collateral.

  • Remain flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and product focus areas.

About You

  • JD (Juris Doctorate) from accredited law school.

  • Proven experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in the legal sector, such as legal practice, legal tech consulting or client education.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver effective product training and demonstrations.

  • An interest in AI and legal technology and its applications in improving legal workflows.

  • Credible, engaging presentation skills in delivery of training via remote training technology.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.

  • Familiarity with Thomson Reuters products is a plus.

  • Proactively spot and correct any issues that could affect customer satisfaction or retention.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and product focus areas.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams to drive customer success.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing accurate and up-to-date guidance.

  • Experienced using remote training technology including MS Teams.

  • Ability to travel to customer locations as needed.

  • Strong telephone and in-person communication presentation skills required.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA and/or remote. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $74,200 - $137,800. The base compensation range in other locations may vary. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
