About the Role

Thomson Reuters, a global leader in legal publishing and information services, is looking for a Product Specialist to enhance our artificial intelligence product support for Legal customers. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in driving the understanding and adoption of our sophisticated AI tools, such as Westlaw Precision and Practical Law with CoCounsel, across our client base. This position is tailored for someone who can bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and practical applications in the legal sector, providing unparalleled expertise and support to our customers and internal teams.

As a Product Specialist you will take charge of educating and empowering our clients and internal employees on the nuances of AI in legal contexts. You will be the go-to expert for all matters related to AI, from the technical intricacies of Large Language Models to the strategic implementation of AI in legal research and workflows. Your mission will be to ensure that Thomson Reuters remains at the forefront of AI solutions in the legal industry, by delivering exceptional training, developing innovative use cases, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft and conduct tailored training sessions, webinars, and seminars that address the unique needs of attorneys and legal professionals, focusing on how Thomson Reuters products can revolutionize their work.

  • Act as a liaison with the product development, marketing, and sales teams to provide feedback and insights that drive the evolution of our AI products.

  • Ensure alignment with legal industry requirements.

  • Offer expert guidance and troubleshoot complex inquiries, enhancing customer understanding and supporting strategic sales and retention initiatives.

  • Lead the creation of educational resources and thought leadership materials, including white papers, articles, and presentations.

  • Analyze customer feedback and market trends to propose innovative product features and new AI use cases, contributing to the company's growth and the evolution of legal tech.

  • Build and nurture strategic customer relationships, delivering personalized product support and fostering long-term loyalty.

  • Spearhead cross-functional initiatives to address and resolve high-level queries that surpass the scope of standard training and support.

About You

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree, demonstrating a strong foundation in legal principles and a deep understanding of the legal industry's needs.

  • Proven experience working with legal entities, including law firms and government agencies, with a track record of effectively addressing their specific challenges and requirements.

  • A robust understanding of Artificial Intelligence, including knowledge of Large Language Models, security protocols, RAG techniques, and hallucination phenomena.

  • Demonstrable experience in AI product evangelism, with the ability to speak compellingly about AI applications to non-technical audiences.

  • Practical experience with AI-driven legal research tools and a clear understanding of attorney workflows to ensure relevant and effective training.

  • Familiarity with the latest advancements in AI, including natural language processing, machine learning, and ethical AI use.

  • Experience in developing and leading educational initiatives that cater to a variety of learning styles and professional backgrounds.

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights for product development and customer education.

  • Capacity to work collaboratively with product management, sales, and marketing teams to align educational content with product roadmaps and business goals.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proficiency in creating clear, concise, and engaging educational materials.

  • Proactive approach to identifying and pursuing opportunities for personal and professional development in the field of AI and legal technology.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA and/or remote. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $74,200 - $137,800. The base compensation range in other locations may vary. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
