Product Specialist, Card Issuing

We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated Card Issuing executive to help identify innovative card programs that we can launch on behalf of our merchants. You will handle the communication with merchant partners and develop the right card program based on requirements. You will also work internally with the Adyen teams to ensure that all aspects of the resulting card programs can be achieved and deployed.

What you'll do

  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution and execution of Adyen's card issuing and processing strategy, with a focus on the available product and services.

  • Develop and maintain a broad knowledge of the card issuing industry, the competitive landscape, and the associated compliance and regulatory issues to make informed recommendations to merchants. Identify new card issuing opportunities within the current merchant base; find new opportunities based on research and industry trends.

  • Prioritize merchant requirements so you can effectively position Adyen's issuing and processing capabilities.

Who you are

  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience launching card programs (both consumer and commercial) that involved working directly with processing platforms, banking partners, card printers, and other related services.

  • Demonstrated success within the card program management space,

  • You are a solution-oriented thinker with a track record of delivering exciting card programs.

  • Strong working knowledge of the payments industry, products, and associated regulations.

  • Ability to communicate effectively about the company's technology and services to assist the merchant partners in developing the right program.

  • You are able to work independently and are a strong collaborator, prepared to work with colleagues, and share ideas to improve effective teamwork.

  • This role is based out of our San Francisco office

  • This is a full-time position with the ability to work a minimum of 40 hours/week

  • You have full professional proficiency (written and verbal) in English

VIEW JOBS 5/20/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-08-18T00:00 The Portfolio and Index Buy-Side Implementation team is responsible for the full implementation of customers that will use Bloomberg's Portfolio and Risk solution, PORT. Main responsibilities will include Pre-Sales engagement, Data Ingestion Set-up, Workflow Configuration, and Analytics Reconciliation. PORT Enterprise implementations require detailed project plan creation, regular partner meetings and in-person client training. Individuals on the team will be required to be well versed in multi-asset classes, have a technical understanding of dataflow, and will be required to have strong project management skills. You will need strong relationship management skills and possess advanced product knowledge of PORT and indices as well as an in-depth knowledge of fixed income and derivatives. This is an implementation role and could require regular travel to support clients across the Americas region. You will use your strong project management capabilities to coordinate all aspects of the on-boarding process, including working with the PORT and Core Sales teams, understanding the client workflow, providing in-depth trainings and assisting clients in reconciling data. You'll need to have: * Strong analytical skills to evaluate problems and provide solutions * Understanding of workflows used by portfolio managers, risk and attribution specialists * Excellent communicative skills, both verbal and written * Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in Buy Side financial institutions or alternatively, experience in financial engineering/structuring. * The ability to effectively communicate technical/complex issues in a simplistic manner to various audiences * A deep understanding of PORT functionality * Knowledge of fixed income, equities and derivatives * Strong communication skills in order to interact with clients and team members * Experience communicating with Engineering groups on extremely complicated and complex topics * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills * Critical thinking and problem solving skills * Experience leading cross-departmental projects with tight deadlines * Experience conducting trainings both internally / externally * Track record of meeting deadlines and setting priorities We would love to see: * Master's degree and CFA * Exposure to Lua scripting * Strong analytical skills to evaluate problems and provide solutions * Understanding of workflows used by portfolio managers, risk and attribution specialists * Excellent communicative skills, both verbal and written * Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in Buy Side financial institutions or alternatively, experience in financial engineering/structuring. * The ambition to take ownership and responsibility of issues and handle them effectively through to resolution * The inclination and aptitude to pick up new technologies and procedures * The ability to effectively communicate technical/complex issues in a simplistic manner to various audiences If this sounds like you: Apply if you think we're a good match.
