Essential Responsibilities

  • Assess applications and products for security vulnerabilities and design flaws

  • Evaluate security vulnerabilities and prioritize remediation efforts

  • Provide technical guidance to developers on secure coding practices

  • Develop secure code practices and provide hands-on training to development teams

  • Evaluate and improve application security tools and processes

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Security experience across web, mobile and client server applications

  • Experience performing automated security testing using static and dynamic scanning tools

  • Experience performing manual code reviews

  • Strong manual penetration testing experience

  • Knowledge of applicable industry standards, leading security practices and regulatory requirements

  • Strong exposure to popular application security standards including OWASP TOP 10, SANS TOP 25 etc.

  • Proficiency with at least one of the following programming languages desired: Java, .Net, C, C++, PHP

  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Uncompromising personal and professional integrity and ethics

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Security professional certifications preferred (such as CEH, CISSP, CSSLP, GPEN, GWAPT, OSCP)

Education and Experience Required:

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering or related field

  • Prior software development background is preferred

JP3 is a rapidly growing company that has introduced a revolutionary new spectroscopy-based system that measures hydrocarbon speciation and physical properties simultaneously, in-line and in real-time, in either gas or liquid streams.<br></p> <p>The Product Development Engineer will work within the Engineering department to design, develop, test, and implement new products, systems, and solutions. At JP3, you’ll be welcomed to a small team offering work-life balance while revolutionizing the energy industry’s use of data. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong></p><ul> <li>Design, develop, test, and introduce to manufacturing new products and equipment involving mechanical, electrical, electronic controls, and fluid handling systems;</li> <li>Improve existing products and equipment to meet customers’ requirements;</li> <li>Innovate new solutions for spectroscopic-based measurement of natural gas and liquid streams in anticipation of new customer needs;</li> <li>Work with field installation teams to monitor, improve, and upgrade installed measurement devices;</li> <li>Create full documentation for all new applications, including installation procedures, equipment operations and service;</li> <li>Work with manufacturing team to ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements, proper and timely build of equipment, and cost reduction in design;</li> <li>Create and conduct in-house testing and development of new products and equipment;</li> <li>Handle all aspects of field installation of advanced spectroscopy-based analyzer system, including pre-installation site surveys, mechanical and electrical installation preparedness, customer training, engineering support to field technicians, and equipment commissioning;</li> <li>Provide post-installation engineering support to Customers and to JP3 Field Technicians.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Four-year Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering discipline;</li> <li>Minimum 5 years of experience in Oil and Gas preferred;</li> <li>Understanding of Design of Experiment and Statistical analysis with strong analytical skills;</li> <li>Understanding of product safety and compliance, especially hazardous area classification;</li> <li>Experience with SolidWorks;</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with minimal oversight while following project timelines;</li> <li>Flexibility of schedule and ability to travel across Central/South Texas regularly and US as needed;</li> <li>Valid driver’s license (with no restrictions) and proof of legal right to work in US.</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul> <li>Medical and dental/vision plans.
