PSS Supervisor Full Time

The Product Sales & Services Department is responsiblefor selling tickets, season passes, ski school products, and fulfilling pre-purchased sales orders atNorthstars Season Pass, Ticketing and Lessonlocations.

This positionprovides a great opportunity for growthand will train you to have full knowledge of our products, services and guest offerings. As a PSS Department Supervisor you will oversee an assigned office location for the day in regards to all pass, ticketing, group sales andski school fulfillment. This position will oversee anywhere from 5-10 employees per location and is in charge of daily operating duties per assigned location. We are looking for customer service oriented individuals whoare positive, outgoing, operate with a high level of computer proficiency, have a passion for the outdoors, are well disciplined, and take pride in their work.

Essential Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver exceptional guest service to internal and external guests.

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of all resort product offerings and sales modules (apps). Troubleshoot product issues and follow up with the appropriate staff or guest in a timely manner.

  • Provide accurate resort, village, and local information to the guest.

  • Display accurate cash handling skills, perform and oversee the daily sales and close procedures while following company and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Communicate in a courteous, respectful, and professionalmanner to all internal and external guests.

  • Understand and adhere to all departmental and company policies and procedures.

  • Assist in the resolution of all guest complaints within company guidelines; handle all guest concerns and suggestions; ability to determine whenyou can handle an issue, and when itneeds to brought to the attention of others, i.e.Department Manager, PSS Director, etc.

  • Willingness to be part of a cohesive management team working with multiple departments.

  • Assist in the hiring, training, supervising, and guiding of staff to achieve specific goals and objectives.

  • Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor.

  • Ability to create a positive and supportive environment for PSS staff, i.e. encouraging questions from staff, acting as a behavioral role model for staff,being a source of support and information, etc.

  • Ability to address employee issues in a timely, professional manner; documenting issue and/or referring to others, if necessary.

  • Establish personal strengths and areas of focus through self-assessment and on-going training and feedback from the Northstar Management Team; participate in all departmental and resort training and development courses.

  • Actively work in all areas of Product Sales and Service and/or in any areas of the Northstar Resort.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent,
  • Experience in a supervisor or leadership role,
  • Experience with point-of-sale software (RPOS, RTP, or similar),
  • Strong communication skills; mustbe able to use proper English and grammar in speech and writing at all times,
  • Ability to pass a background check,
  • Able to lift and carry 20 lbs,
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Have fun! Be outgoing! Becreative! Take ownership of your operations and take it to the next level,

  • Previous extensive guest service experience preferred,

  • College degree preferred,

  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure in a high paced work environment,

  • Able to work independently as well with a team,

  • Strong attention to detail,

  • Must enjoy working with people in a high paced work environment,

  • Strong computer skills with advanced understanding of Microsoft Windows, i.e. Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook

  • Prior experience with Resort POS software preferred; preferably 2-3 winter seasons working with the following RPOS modules: Access Products, Advanced Sales, Pass/Media Sales, Private Lessons, Ski School Tools (for inventory pool management), Reports, etc.

  • Prior cash handling experience preferred.
